Jessica took a deep breath, emerald eyes staring at her reflection on the computer screen. She rubbed a hand through her red hair before letting the breath out, then laughed at her own nervousness. It was just a chat room. Goodness, there was no need to be concerned! Besides - if one of the people on there did turn out to be a stalker, well, nothing would happen that she didn't already know how to handle.
Still.
Her long, delicate fingers stroked the keyboard, bringing her computer to life once more, and she quickly logged in and brought up her Chrome browser. Do it quick before you overthink it.
The website asked for a username, and without thinking she typed in the name she'd chosen for herself in the intervening years, the one she'd used to protect herself when she needed someone else to be: Rabbit. Of course, someone else had already taken that name, so she needed something else to add to it - something to make it even more personal, unique to her. TheRabbit_InRed. It seemed to like that name and opened the chatroom to her.
Well. This would be interesting, to say the least. Jessica popped her knuckles before typing in her first message:
