Find me a case where even 4/10 doctors did not recommend a vaccine. I can guarantee you will not. You know why? Because vaccines are tested and proven to be effective at preventing people from getting sick. There have been 100’s of years of research at least that will prove you wrong. The only time credible doctors say a vaccine is bad is on a case by case basis. Some people have medical conditions that stop them from being able to get a vaccine.
If you think we would be better off without them, you are clearly mistaken. Do you think that your mother’s immune system will help you? A baby is only dependant on their mother’s immune system for 6 months, or so long as they’re being breast fed. During that time, they are still highly susceptible to many deadly viruses. It is after this point that they develop their own immune system.
Lets advance on this. There are two parts to your immune system. One part, the adaptive part, deals with new viruses. It will hunt them down, figure them out, and destroy them. It is not a very strong part of your immune system. Even influenza would kill you before your body had the chance to do this. So lets move on the next part. The other part of your immune system deals with familiar viruses. Anything the adaptive part took care of will be remembered and immediate action will be taken by your body to deal with these familiar viruses. What vaccines do is train the adaptive part of your immune system to deal with viruses by injecting you with a still version of the original. You may argue, it’s not completely the same. Well buckle up cause we’re going for a ride. The two parts of your immune system work together. When your body knows how to deal with one strain of a virus, it will be better able to figure out how to deal with similar strains.
I’m going to bring influenza up again. There are so many strains of it we’ve lived through, and they have taken lives. Let me explain to you how this works. It’s something we call herd immunity and herd susceptibility. When. A virus can spread, it takes with it knowledge of how to fight your immune system. It then makes it’s way to other people’s bodies and evolves to better fight their immune system as well. It keeps spreading from person to person and doing this until a new strain is developed that is so different, nobody’s body knows how to deal with it. That’s why we have so many different strains of the flu. That’s why measles are back. Because people like you are too stupid to realize that the doctors, who are much more educated on this stuff than you, have been working at protecting us for hundreds and thousands of years. Look at how many people died because of the black plague. It spread so quickly because people thought religion would save them. They gathered in masses at the churches. People spread the virus so much that it was almost impossible to beat. Doctors kicked it’s ass because they were the ones who were smart enough to prevent themselves from catching the plague and to prevent spreading it. They were smart enough to find out how to fight the virus and kill it off before it killed them off. You ever play Assassin’s Creed 2? You know how the doctors dressed? That was real. That is how they dressed. But what the game doesn’t accurately display is how the doctor’s really dealt with patients.
There are so many examples of similar diseases that have been dealt with in similar ways. Today, we know much more and don’t have to take as many precautions. Because doctors have studied medicine and learned it over millennia. DO NOT THINK YOU KNOW BETTER THAN THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE WORKED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS TO KEEP US HEALTHY!!!
