I remember watching Across the Spiderverse in theaters and during one of the scenes in Gwen's world (near the start) the girlie sitting next to me just went "Why are all the colours changing are the animators stupid" very loudly and I mourned the fact that strangling someone is illegal

I can't find the old post, but I know when Spider-Man: ITSP came out there was some ppl who hc Miles shop lifting art supplies. Which others, I think rightfully, called out as a bit racist. And now there are posts of about Hobi stealing stuff, which we have seen in the movie. I know it's 2023 but I am a tumbler veteran, so I have lingering PTSD. It's not racist when ppl write or hc Hobie stealing stuff. He isn't stealing cuz he is black, but cuz he is punk.

Even if discord is what he would have wanted, just wanted to nip that in the bud.
