Everybody, calm down. The teaser image from today just means that the announcement in 15 days is just going to be that Bohi of the Itzel is going to be a main character in the next expansion.
(okay hehe this is a small fic about the lore of the entire universe, this took me some time but i feel content with the end result, hope ya guys like it :>)
There was once a void, a void which dominated the entire universe, no sound, no light, nothing. Until one sudden moment, a small fragment of light appeared within the void, it stood out between the other nothingness, and over time, it kept growing and growing. Eventually, when it was big enough, it gained consciousness. It realized it could think, create, destroy, anything they wanted, they could make. They started making clouds, if they were going to be in an empty void, they at least wanted a nice soft place to rest in. Once they were done with the clouds, they realized those couldn't just… stay over nothing, what would their purpose be? So, they created the sky, the ground, land, animals, fauna… Ah, it was just all so beautiful. Their most perfect creation was felines, or at least they thought of it as their most perfect, so they decided to morph into a form close-adjacent to ones.
Once they had finished everything, they went back up to the clouds, curling up into a ball and resting, yet… they couldn't help but feel… lonely. They had created so many beautiful places, wonderful creatures, yet they still felt a selfish desire for company, or at least, something that could be aware of their presence. And once again, they began creating again, shaping a new form of life: Angels. Holy beings like them to stay above the clouds and keep her company, maybe even watch over the fragile beings down on Earth. Everything was going wonderful, the animals would live below the clouds, and when they passed away, could join the angels and the new god above. That was, until a species started developing from the seas, after time, it developed to have consciousness, one like the god once experienced for the first time. The new species began to form groups, grow stronger, evolve… They didn't even look like the creatures the god had once created. Scared, yet curious, they decided to wait to see what the new species would do, and so, humans formed. Beings with an intelligent mind of their own, began shaping the Earth, bending it around, using resources for entirely different purposes. It was something terrifying for the angels above, but the god? They found it amusing and they insisted on keeping the new species around.
At a certain point, everything went back to how things were before, humans living down on Earth, and when they died, they would go above the clouds once more. Ah, the god was right once more, everything was under control!
Now, of course, this isn't a story about humankind, so let's return to the story resting on the skies. Certain angels would be assigned to take care of the human beings, personally trained by the god to do their job and make sure to bring peace and safety to the species. One day, one of the trained angels, the best one of their class, asked to speak with the god directly. Nadi, the angel, focused all her courage and asked for the blessing of the god for her to marry her love, Itzel. The god, amused by the new concept of “love” (something they thought was only for humans) gladly accepted and even attended the wedding. The god continued checking on the new couple, eventually becoming “friends” all together.
The god, now with a new identity formed by their friends, morphed once more, becoming softer, and more cat-adjacent (now with the introduction of cats as a list of animals). The god changed their name to Izbel, and turned into the Goddess. Of course, same title and powers as before. Now of course, she didn't want to keep her new friends behind on the adjustments, and decided to honor them both with the titles of second in command. They would now reign over the heavens as a trinity, making sure that everything functioned perfectly and in an organized and fair manner.
But alas, you can't have a story and keep everything working perfectly, even if you're Goddess, things can still move behind your back, and that was exactly what was happening somewhere between the clouds. Hidden deep between their softness, a small speck of the void that once filled the universe was resting and growing like the Goddess in the past, yet this time, when the creature rose up from within the clouds, it didn't have the same kind thoughts as the Goddess when they realized they had the same power. No, this new being only thought of using those powers for mischief and chaos. Once they were fully grown, they morphed their appearance into one resembling the demons from under the Earth, but this one was pitch-black, and only one red eyed stood out from the figure.
As the Goddess was resting at her house, her friends were out on vacation enjoying the heavens. She was focused on cooking something nice, when the creature quietly lurked behind her. It turned on the stoves and cursed them with hellish fire, making them grow in intensity extremely quickly. When the Goddess finally realized the fire burning down half of her home, it was too late, and they were burnt down with it.
The creature had thought they had won the battle, but between the ashes of the house, the Goddess formed once again, but something was different… When they had burnt down, the fire mostly attacked her head, going through her flesh, bones and going straight to her core, setting all their memories and personality ablaze. The new Izbel had the same form (with a few burn scars, and her eyes further away from each other), but she was completely different on the insides.
Her mindfulness, intelligence and empathy had all been lost under the incident. She continued reigning over the heavens as always, but she didn't feel as compelled as before to help others. The selfish desires she had once dreaded were now the only thing that motivated her to use her power again, mostly to mess up with her best friend and right-hand angel, Nadi, constantly tormenting her. Although she didn't seem as inclined to doing evil, she was certainly not inclined to do good either.
The creature (now aptly named Creechur by Izbel and the angels) was not satisfied, and continued sneaking into the clouds to continue causing mischief, although it always ended up being struck down by Izbel or other angels when they noticed them.
And now, as the Goddess that once kept everything under control was no more, the peace that came along with her was going to slowly start fading until the world turned into a chaos.
