What's you're opinion on whether or not there's going to be a frozen 2 ?
I, me Mar, feel that it would be unnecessary. The movie has a perfect ending in which they solve all the problems of the movie and they leave enough space to let the viewer imagine what happens next. If they did a sequel they would be doing what they let people imagine.
The possible plot sequels can go from “Anna and Kristoff’s child”, “They face a new threat”, “Elsa sets another Eternal Winter by accident”, “Hans’ redemption” and all those plots are predictable. If Frozen is not predictable. Also, if they are not done properly, they could ruin the main plot or create holes in it. I’m not saying that they can’t do a sequel and that the amazing team at Disney Animation Studios can’t come up with a plot for a sequel, the problem is making it work and make it compliment the original and popular movie (remembering also that for a sequel to be considered as “good” it needs to be better than the first movie.)
However, there is also another problem with the studio and it is that they don’t do sequels. Sequels like Cinderella’s, The Lion King’s, etc were done by a side studio called “Disney Toons”. Not to mention that the studio already has planned what movies they are going to do next, leaving no space for a Frozen sequel unless they moved or changed the dates.
Clearing up, if there were a sequel I would go watch and I would be the first one encouraging it but the movie gives enough space to let the fans imagine what comes next without any sequel, animator or director clearing up.
