What are your favorite things about your Commanders, Chief of Staff, and Koala (who is honestly in a category all her own)?
[The question takes him a little aback. He is not the type to hand out compliments but since this isn't outright directed to them... He supposes he can answer.]
Sabo inspires loyalty. They are approachable. Every single member of the Army looks up to them in a way they will never look up to anyone else. It is their best quality and the reason the Commanders chose them as the Chief of Staff.
Lindbergh's attitude would be contagious was I thirty years younger. I am also always glad to see him gaining an easy rapport with pretty much anyone new he meets. Few people can accomplish that.
I appreciate Karasu's calmness. It is... refreshing amidst the strong and sometimes overpowering personalities of the other Commanders.
While Betty's manner of speech is quite crude often, she is honest and straightforward. That is more than the vast majority of the people of the world can say.
Morley is always unapologetically herself. It is an admirable trait and sometimes... I envy her for it.
Kuma's kindness and dedication to his daughter. He did what I could not bear myself to do and he will always be a better person for it.
//Mod note: canonically. Not the Kuma that we have because his timeline is set before Bonney gets sick!//
Iva is utterly, profoundly shameless. There is a kind of freedom found in their mere presence and I believe it is that same freedom that makes people tell them things they wouldn't tell anyone else. Myself included.
Viar, for all his sarcasm and devil-may-care attitude, is thoroughly fearless. It makes him a trump card who can turn the tide of any conflict in a matter of an hour, but it also blinds him. It is the reason why he works more efficiently in his current rank than when he was a Major in the Special Forces. Responsibility mellows him down, despite his protests.
Estime's meticulousness, particularly in her reports. She practices thorough organisation in her office as well and keeps the archives in perfect order. She could have been a formidable librarian in another life.
Although almost all of his family is no more, Craig remains more family-oriented than most. It gives him an additional incentive to always apply all of himself on any given task or mission.
Anemone, while young, has remarkably quick situational awareness which has started to mould her into a brilliant strategist.
Aubrey is resilient before anything. While the circumstances that brought it forth out of her weren't ideal, she is utilising the characteristic exceptionally.
Koala's sense for what is right. In many ways it resembles my own and it is her greatest strength and worst stumbling stone. Just like mine, hers consumes her. She is still young and inexperienced enough that she hasn't learnt to compartmentalise effectively. Nevertheless, the world needs more people like her — people who care.
👻 (cough coughs from the whumpy one i requested with bell being a cute basketball playing idiot?)
i see u, iva! i promise one of these days i’ll finish it and it’ll be wonderful. but for now:
“I’m not sure what you thought would happen,” she huffs, letting the irritation flow to the pillow she’s currently fluffing in her hands, “You were asleep for 125 years, your body isn’t exactly in prime shape for playing baseball.”
“Basketball.”
She glares at him, before sliding her hand beneath his thigh, cradling it gently, pushing the pillow underneath it. To his credit, Bellamy doesn’t let out more than hiss between his teeth but Clarke would be lying if she didn’t get some sort of gratification from it. He’s the one who decided to get hurt playing a sport he only ever watched on television.
“And I’ll have you know, considering my age, I’m in fantastic shape,” he grumbles, crossing his arms over his chest and flexing his biceps, something she can’t decide is intentional or not.
