Seeing as you might need a little reading material I’ll keep sharing what #ivebeenreading “Waylon; Tales of my outlaw dad” By Terry Jennings with David Thomas. This is a fascinating. Imagine dropping out at 15 only to go on tour, almost indefinitely, with your rockstar father at the height of his career. How about when your father insist you do his coke so you don’t get messed up on the stuff from the streets. Terry doesn’t hold back. Although he most certainly admired and respected his father he doesn’t shy away from telling things like they were. And they were crazy. Names are named in this one. Despite getting more than a little proselytizing towards the end, the rest reads like the country rock version of Mötley Crüe’s “The Dirt.” Stories you’ve never heard before, and the ones you have heard, from a much different and closer perspective than recorded before. Want to know what it would be like to come of age in the epicentre of the outlaw movement? Want to know what it would be like to be in Waylon’s camp at the height of his career? Give this one a good thumbing through. It’s fascinating. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-IYwEygoGl/?igshid=8ouwmt3hhzaj
