So, I was shooting the 200 meters at the Tokyo Olympics, and I was focused on Ivet Lalova Collio from Bulgaria, at this moment. It was the first round. As I was capturing the moment, I saw Ivet crack a smile. Usually, sprinters are already in race mode as this time and don’t smile out of the blue. I was wondering why. I was hoping that It was Ivet, being present to where she was, enjoying and appreciating her Olympic moment. The smile quickly disappeared and it was back to race mode. A couple of weeks after, I showed Ivet this photo and asked her if she remembered why she was smiling .
