what if you were a corporate lawyer and you HATED yourself so you became a CRIMINAL and NEVER TOLD YOUR DAUGHTER YOU WERE DOING CRIME and then you had to run a scam on a guy by PRETENDING to be BISEXUAL despite being ACTUALLY bisexual and then your daughter WALKED IN ON YOU ON A FAKE DATE WITH YOUR MARK and then said YEAH IT MAKES SENSE YOU'RE GAY because you're BAD AT INTIMACY.

I love the Leverage episodes where they're truly just psychologically tormenting a guy.

Like obviously they first establish that the guy is a terrible guy who does terrible guy things. And we really do need the terrible guy to be doing a lot of terrible guy things because this is kinda an ethical nightmare, but don't worry, they are reliably doing a lot of terrible guy things.

But then it is just like "hey, let's convince this guy that he's made first contact with aliens and also that aliens are trying to kill him" or "hey, let's make this guy believe he's contracted a deadly disease and is going to die in quarantine because medical staff are abandoning him" or "hey, let's first try to persuade this journalist that the government is secretly creating Guantanamo Bay 2: Underground Boogaloo in your backyards and when she doesn't run with that story, let's then make her think that oops the government accidentally leaked some kind of bioweapon into the waterways and now water is gonna kill you instead."

I can't get over how deep Eliot and Parker's relationship is.

Everyone else asked. They let her duck around the situation. "Something like that." "Something like that." "Something like that."

Not Eliot. He didn't ask. He didn't need to. He understood.

They went up that mountain together. They changed together, but they didn't change from who they were fundamentally. They always remained the two people on the team who do what the others can't... won't.

Sophie wouldn't have understood if she killed the mark. Harry wouldn't. Breanna wouldn't. Hardison wouldn't.

But Eliot would. Does.

I just wanna gush about Breanna from Leverage Redemption for five minutes. Alec was obviously a banging character and it was a shame that Aldis Hodge was unable to commit to the reboot. But because of that we got Breanna.

She is fantastic. Firstly, an absolutely iconic sibling relationship. Like most people with siblings i get mad when siblings on tv feel so fake, but on the occasions they do interact (and even the text interactions) are fantastic and so relatable.

Also even when alone she feels like Hardisons sister. She was designed as the new hacker and it wouldve been so easy to just copy paste Hardison but they took the time to think about the ways theyd be similar and the ways theyd be different. She has mannerisms like him, but her thoughts, her identity, her ideals. *chefs kiss* I have a younger sister, and they really do strike the balance of she wants to be like her older sibling and wants to step out of his shadow.

Plus its amazing having someone younger on the team. The speech she gives in season one about how she wants the world to stop sucking is perfect. id never seen a tv character talk the way i felt before. Shes right. People say the world is worse these days and its the only world ive known, her first memory being 9/11. fucking genius.

Shes queer and loud about it! i love her

she's a nerd and she has the power to destroy the world with hacking and all she loves is making robots and things and stuff.

she wants to be involved. she wants to help. she grew from being disillusioned with their teams ability to fix the world to fighting to fix it herself.

I'm sure we'll get another season. ive heard rumor of who may or may not wish to return. but Breanna leading a new team would be all i need. She's learnt, and she can teach and inspire others around her

anyway i love Breanna. And my sister.

eliot is suffering in this episode. he's tired, he's hungry, he's spent the last eight hours in the same car as a philosophical sophie and a cranky parker, and then some two-bit town sheriff stops him in the middle of a road, aggressively gets in his face, accuses him of being drunk and generally treats him like he's the scum of the earth. the sheriff is trying to intimidate him, but eliot is tired, he is cranky and you can see it in his eyes that he is contemplating murder and knows he can get away with it.

but no. he's a good person now. he can't go on killing people because of a minor inconvenience.

so he gets arrested. three times.

Harry Wilson spent 52 years absolutely flopping in every serious romantic relationship he ever had with a woman and then switched to fake bisexuality for a con and started pulling like no one’s business. Which surely means nothing.
