I've been so busy.

I don't know if I'll ever have time for this blog again :(

Life is funny. It gives you things that make you happy, gives you work that brings you joy and then it takes it all away and gives you so much else to focus on.

So, update.

I'm healthy, my family is healthy and so far everyone is okay.

I'm not working due to the Covid 19 (schools are closed and aftercare teachers don't have to actually teach kids)

I'm offering tutoring to anyone k-5th in need!

My fiance and I are doing well, and we have a girlfriend! She's amazing and we miss her as she is in the us air force and working hard following her dreams.

Life is tough on mine and so many others mental health, so even though I'm not around actively posting about witchcraft, my messages notification button is still on as are my notes so I'm still checking in on Tumblr and the people I care for (which is anyone reading this. I'm still a high Priestess and I still will talk to anyone who needs me!!)

School is going. It's harder than anything I've done. But I'm getting through it!

My digital coven is on hiatus and going through some much needed changes, and I hope to start my physical in person coven in the next couple years. (After school and a move to a yet decided location)

Idk why I didn't think to ask you sooner! Do you have any book recommendations for resources for Irish mythology, specifically Brigid and the Morrigan from a pagan perspective? I've got Stephanie Woodfield and Morgan Daimler works already but looking for others.

Sounds like you’ve already got Morgan’s books, which are the ones I usually recommend. I’d also recommend looking through Erynn Rown Laurie’s publications. I feel like she has some stuff, too, but I can’t think of which ones it’s in. 

There’s a lot of stuff out there and a lot of it’s not good. The one I always recommend against is Guises of the Morrigan. It’s just a lot of UPG and/or unsubstantiated claims that aren’t doin anyone a favor. 

I know that’s not much, but I hope it helps! Tbh, I’ve got a TON of books saved on a list to read, but grad school has prevented much reading that isn’t geared directly toward my degree.

My tradition follows mainly Celtic deities, when you see the list as a whole it doesn’t make sense, but they are “paired up” with an elemental quarter as a circle guardian. (and our elements are in different directions than most)

I call it a jumble because not all the deities are from the same region and a couple aren’t Celtic at all. (IE, An unknown origins Deity, one Abrahamic, and a Greek for good measure)

Going to Melbourne FL tomorrow for apartment hunting!

I'm excited. We've got 4 places we want to look at, and we're gonna try and visit my new school so I can find the lay of the land and such. (I'm hoping we find something I can bike to or a quick bus trip or something Uber is killing me) Once we choose an apartment (if we pick one tomorrow) hopefully we will find the grocery store and a nice nearby restaurant and the location of the hospital (just in case)

So much to do now

Now that bf has a legit job offer in another city, here's my to do list Contact the college here in Orlando and the one in melbourne to find out which college makes more sense to attend. Orlando classes begin may 8th and I move around may 12. So I either need online classes or I contact the other school and see what they think. (Big concern is getting all the paper work in on time for April 20 something at the new school on the coast) I need to contact my lawyer in regards to our car accident from November and find out how to proceed with physical therapy. Luckily both mine and bf's possessions are largely in storage so there isn't much to do by way of packing. I have to find a part time job out on the coast to help supplement my bf's income so I can have a smidgen of independence and be somewhat self reliant. Finally I need to talk to my coven and witchy friends about events I agreed to this fall.

Ivy's first hurricane update!

Some clouds, some wind, but nothing dangerous as of yet

Storm condition should get here tonight so updates may get delayed when I lose power!

I'm feeling good.

I usually feel good, but I feel GOOD ya know? I made it to all my workouts last week, ate pretty good considering the holiday and presence of bad for you foods.

I also have a new personal wallsit record! My old record was 1:23 and now it's 1:32! I could have kept going but it was towards the end of my workout and I was hurting bad. I'm really proud of myself and my strength lately.

I still have a lot of willpower work to do. Impulse eating and sugar cravings are still really hard. Fruit on its own just isn't cutting it for me, especially right now towards the end of my moon cycle. Ive gotta find some dark chocolate options or fancy caramel popcorn or something that can help me when my hormones say "FEED ME IVY"
