top 5 favorite memories of your childhood c:
I think I’m still in my childhood, so… (some of these may sound depressing)
1. My first concert, seeing Paramore in the Self-Titled tour. I was with my best friend, and my older sister took us. It felt so surreal to see them actually there, and then we slept over at my sister’s house. I don’t know why, but it feels like a defining moment of being a teenager.
2. The summer before fifth grade, a friend of mine that moved away came to visit. She was only there for a day, but we swam in my pool, played with stuffed animals, and had a lot of fun. Her laughter really sticks out in my mind. It was the last time I saw her, she died a year later. She was the gentlest spirit, but a real crazy kid. Like, she was one of those crazy, old, cat ladies, even though she was only 11 years old. The last time I saw her and many other times are one of my greatest memories.
3. Band practice freshman-junior year. I was in a band with four of my best friends. I don’t know what about to say about these moments other than it shaped me into who I am. Now they feel like they were simple times.
4. Sophomore year, a youth group that I went to went on a retreat. We went to this cabin place, and did a bunch of trust and team-building exercises. It rained the entire 2.5 days we were there, but it was so much fun. I feel like we were all really close at that point. A lot of things has changed since then, I wouldn’t say for the better, but it’s good to remember how things used to be.
5. The day before my high school graduation, four of my friends and I went to a concert to see All Time Low and Tonight Alive (and others). We took the train into the city and waited outside the venue. It felt like a big transition, and we were going through it together. The next day, we were all exhausted but had so much fun. Feels like another defining moment. :]
