Watching stars fall

About 364 days a year, the only falling stars I see in my day-to-day life are the ones Daily Mail online reports about. The actors who cheat on their partner with a producer, the footballers who have an affair with a nobody and the singers who just.. well... go completely bonkers. (If you are guilty of reading DM -and I know you are- you can name at least one person to fit in each of these situations)

BUT NOT TONIGHT

Tonight is second best night to watch the Perseid Meteor Shower. Woop. And apparently this year EVERYONE KNOWS, since there's an image going round on facebook and tumblr about a 'rare meteor shower'. Ha. A very rare annual meteor shower. Anyway, it's cool to not be the only person in my environment to prefer looking at the sky over partying on a Saturday night.

To be honest, usually I spend most of my time spotting satellites and making up controversial spy-stories instead of spotting falling stars, but it's one of my favourite nights of the year anyway. Woop. And today is the second-best night to watch and while I usually don't settle for second-best, tonight is an exception. Enjoy!
