I know we’ve already properly introduced each other but I just want to say that I’m so glad you are back with the fandom and I’m really happy another OG fan is enjoying the show! I know one of your fics is from 1998 but what year did you become an IWTV/TVC fan?

I read IWTV in 1986. TVL was already out so I read that next. I read other AR books while waiting for QOTD to be published. Then I read the Mayfair Witches books until TOTBT was published. I saw the movie when it came out in 1994, that was when I found the online fandom. I read MTD, TVA, Pandora, VTV, Violin, and Merrick. But I haven't read any since then, because that was 2000, which was when the whole blow up happened and we all had to take down our fic, or in my case, just hide it, and I felt differently about Anne Rice. So you have read many more Vampire Chronicles than I!

I was really excited to see the AMCIWTV. I don't have AMC, but my sister recorded it for me. I really loved it. I hope she will record the second season for me! I started reblogging some AMCIWTV posts here on tumblr, but I honestly didn't even consider getting into the online fandom again. BUT, then I saw that you had found my old fanfic, and, well, here I am! 🤣

The leaked footage from the TV show is exciting! The little peak at costume design shows that even though we have a different time period, the costuming is the same. Lestat in the movie always wore bright colors, blues and purples (which match the description Louis gives in the book, that Lestat enjoyed showing off his wealth in his clothes). In the shot from the TV show he has a bright green tie and a flower pinned to his lapel. His look is just a little bit more snazzy than Louis. In the movie Louis almost always wore forest greens and browns, which you see him in brown here. Louis's jacket is less fit too, compared to Lestat, showing his disinterest in his appearance when comparing the two.

This really gave me hope that the personalities of the characters are the same, if the details in costume design from some super blurry images indicate anything
