"…If I were you lover, I would care for you, cherish you above all things… Give you all the love I have to offer. You would never feel alone again. Marriage, for real this time… no greyface magic, no tricks, no false memories. Only us. And…perhaps children…?"
Tybresa found herself sucking her breath as the words flooded out like a torrent of water, smashing against her walls of composure and even sundering them at its base. Her body stiffened almost uncomfortably so as she balled her hands in her fists, her fingernails digging deep in the palm, drawing blood. She pursed her lips together tightly in a thin line, all the while she ground her teeth together. Her eyes flickering on and off with fluctuating emotions, it was simply hard to keep track of them all.
Silently, she spun on her heels, and marched off, not a single glance thrown back.
Except, perhaps, one single blow.
She sneered to herself, but the intensity it held was more than enough to make the sound echo against the walls into a deafening chorus.
