Previously we had a note on the whole welcoming matter. And we are proud to see that members have stepped up their game. Well done, everybody!

However, in the rules we also ask members, if possible, to hit up the admins - to ease their job. For those unfamiliar with this, allow us to refer you to the IX guidelines

This is something which should be taken into consideration as well. We know some members have done this, but in comparison to the total amount it's only a small percentage. So once in a blue moon, or if new in the family and yet to receive a welcome from an admin or two - send them something first. It's not exactly a rule, but more of a recommendation so admins also will have a chance to get familiar with you all.

On a completely different note - the event will be posted today, as it starts tomorrow. We would appreciate those who wants to participate to RSVP as soon as possible.

* AN IMPORTANT NOTICE

Hey there IXFam, J3 here!

Lately we've been noticing some issues within the fam. In this post, we hope to address these issues and hopefully see improvements in the situation.

Welcoming of new members.

"Welcome new members, perhaps you won’t get along, but a simple ‘hi’ or ‘welcome’ is enough to let people know that you took a minute of your day to make them feel comfortable in a new directory." -- IX guidelines

We understand that some of our members are on hiatus/semi-hiatus. However, while this may be so, they joined this family for a reason -- to be, or feel, included. You may not have spoken to them or even seen them on the dash before, but they are still part of the family and should be treated the same as all the other active members. 

With that, please welcome him, and keep in mind to welcome all new members in future. My suggestion? Reblog their welcome posts, then click on the link to their asks and welcome them there. That way you'll be sure to leave no one out. 

Following of all members, directory blogs and admins.

"Follow the main directory blog, the gossip blog and the admins. Once accepted, make sure you follow everybody else." -- IX guidelines

I've noticed a post in the directory tag that says "It would be nice if the IX newbies followed the oldies." While I'm not entirely sure what that means, I'm going to assume that some people in IX are not following everyone on the masterlist. Please make sure you do so, because what's the point of being in this family if you're not going to include other members?

I hope you guys keep these points in mind. We hope to endorse the feelings of friendship and being included in this directory, and as members, please support this purpose/aim by being inclusive of one another and following our guidelines -- they're there for a reason.

As a new week begins, there will be no welcome posts until the weekend arrives. However we do still accept applications and reservations.

The grand reopening date is on the 24th -- and this we will celebrate by revealing the directory's first event! Details about that will be revealed at a later time; and for those whom already have made their way here -- we're proud to see such a big interest, but more than that, we hope for you all to get comfortable and find yourself enjoying your time with us. If questions, recommendations, or even critique appear - don't fear discussing it with us in the IXSTAFF. We are aiming to make this a pleasant place for everyone.

And, last, but not least -- to all of you whom may be reading this: Have a pleasant week.

V.I.P OPENING DATE

As we have received more reservations than originally planned, it has been decided that the directory will accept applications from now onwards - and thus open a week earlier at 2013.11.17 (only for those who have reserved.)

This way there won't be a wave of new people, and it will be easier for all members to settle in. However, don't fear -- your reservations are still valid until the 27th, and you are allowed to wait until then.

ABOUT DORMS:

You are all aware of the fact that a stranger (someone from another dorm, solo artists, people out of this family) can come and for example vandalize your dorms, leave things, visit, or simply lure around in your houses?

Prank people, or make their lives a bit difficult by randomly luring around-- we only live once after all. Just tag their dorm, and the rest is up to your creativity.

Compromises

We have the gossip page so you can spice it up with more interesting situations, to keep you from getting bored (it happens). Idols go through plenty of shit and rumors, secrets being exposed to the news-- both good and bad, so just enjoy the ride. Use your creativity; it gives you a reason to put your muse in a specific mood. It's basically like an unannounced M!A.

Everything that happens in the tag of your dorms is considered to be private, and can't be gossiped on, unless it's directly from someone else who lives in that dorm. (good excuse to play detective with group members)

And if you still don’t like it, contact me(Jiyong) or Kai and we will make sure your name won’t be mentioned on the page. Sigh. Guess that’s the only way to compromise and keep most of y’all happy.
