Dolion as Ixtlilton

Ixtlilton, "Ink at the Face", is a god of medicine in Aztec mythology. He used a medicinal kind of "black water" that was also used for the writing of codices, like ink. Most of his rituals aimed towards curing the illnesses of children. Here is some of him.

Now let's look at that first one and enhance

In Borgia, Ixtlilton has this small ringed black ball with eyes on his head. I haven't seen this symbol on any other instance except on Tlaloc once. I believe it's the very basis of Dolion's design.

There's also this flower marking around his mouth that he shares with Macuilxochitl, it has a similar pattern to the one of Dolion's teeth.

Ixtlilton's name translates to "Ink at the Face" or "Small Black Face" (no, not like that) because he used medicinal black ink (titlatl, "black water"), and his body was covered in this black liquid, including the face.

And compared to the rest of their body/design, Dolion does indeed have a small, black face.

Finally there are small clues hinting to Dolion as the god of medicine in ep5, like Agent K restyling the saying "An apple a day keeps the doctor away", and Dolion later landing on the medical wing at LAW HQ.

Ok this is probably old news but anyway- we know that Xochipilli, Ixtlilton, and Xochiquetzal are hear no Evil, see no Evil, speak no Evil.

But they’re monkeys because of the three wise apes, and I only just realised that, and I think it’s really cool.
