It didn’t that much - although it did manage to sting if only a little - as a bright flush crossed over her cheeks. Hands reached back towards her butt in response, twisting herself to face the offender as she jumped in surprise.
“Wha-- what was that for??” Kaneko attempted to sound at least a bit less flustered than she felt, but the crack in her voice easily betrayed her.

Kaneko would of said it first. ( And I believe she did, when we first got the ship rolling :P) She’s been in love with him for years, so the moment he was trying to process his feelings out loud to her it made it impossible to keep it in.
who laughs when the other trips?

Izaya does; it’s all his money anyway, since Kaneko also ‘works’ for him. semi rich bastard
which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays?
Eh, I feel their both kind of ‘whatever’ when it comes to holidays. I think they just both view it as more time to spend together if Izaya has the day off.
who’s more clumsy?
Out of the two of them? Probably Kaneko... she’s pretty light and nimble on her feet most of the time, but she slips up sometimes y’know xP
who checks their daily horoscope?
Hmm... Kaneko probably does every once in a while, but I feel like Izaya would too; if only to tease her about whatever she gets for her sign.

Neither. Their pretty good about stuff like that
who is more up to date in pop culture?
Well, Izaya may be mostly because he loves knowing everything; but I feel like Kaneko probably would too; if only because there’s a part of her that’s genuinely interested in pop culture. (As stupid and pointless as she would say it is, it intrigues her too.) Izaya probably picks on her for it.
who insists on going to see the newest movies?
If it’s something she’s interested in, Kaneko would probably ask if they can go. Going to the movies is such a mundane, almost staple sort of date between ‘normal’ couples, and she likes being able to do such a thing with him.
who cries when the abused animal commercials come on?
Neither, but Kaneko gets misty eyed and has to change the channel because she can handle a lot of things, but sad faces of abused puppies with Sarah Mclachlan’s voice singing in the background is one thing she can’t fully handle.
who’s the lighter sleeper?
Izaya. Once Kane is out, she is out.
who believes in ghosts?
Both. I mean with all the crazy shit going on in Ikebukuro on a daily basis, Ghosts is probably the least threatening supernatural being on the list lol
who does the grocery shopping?
Kaneko. On those days when she doesn’t have to go out with Izaya or if he’s just doing things on his computer, she makes time to go if she needs to. I feel like Izaya would come with her half the time too.
who updates their facebook status more often?
Hm... Kaneko doesn’t have a facebook, but I don’t know if Izaya would. (Maybe since Izaya is Izaya tho) If so, then Izaya would.

"Yes," he said, determination clear in his tone. There was no way he was gonna need help when their apartment was just around the corner. "I'm gonna ask for treatment when we do get home though."
Discomfort gnawed away at Kaneko’s chest, although she nodded as she stayed put near the wall, a palm resting on the cool surface. Izaya was stubborn - alot like her - so she knew that he wouldn’t let up until they reached the apartment.
“... Fine.” She sighed, frown still present on her lips. “... Is it your back again that you’ll need treatment for when we get home?”

Izaya went silent for a few seconds. "I know," he replied, chuckling lightly while gently stroking her upper arm. "I love you," he whispered before kissing the top of her head.
Kaneko felt her cheeks heat with a slight blush as she shifted her head against him, lips curling into a smile despite herself. Such displays of affection from him always managed to make her heart flutter in her chest; fingers twisting into the fabric of his shirt tighter.
“-- I love you too.” She muttered happily. “... You mean everything to me. I hope you know that.”
