i just had a thought, what do you think will the girls' response be if kaede asked them to "let's take our clothes off"? i am eternally bitter i cannot date girls in drv3 as a girl
So I didn’t know this because I assumed like a reasonable person that Saihara was asking this in a place where it’d be reasonable to strip but no, he just…asks it like right in the middle of the fucking gym of all places EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A RESORT POOL, so it really isn’t a surprise that so many people react badly to being asked this. (Even Ouma tells him to go get his ass kicked by Tenko. Angie’s the only one openly all for it.)
…So in this situation Kaede is actually asking this question when they’re at the resort pool and I can’t believe I have to make this kind of inanely practical change.
Here’s the mock script of sorts:
Maki: Do you want to die?
Maki: …
Maki: Oh, you meant so that we could swim, didn’t you? Geez… I guess that wouldn’t be too bad… Only because we might as well since we’re here…
Kaede: (She’s acting all huffy, but… She is looking at the pool as she does…)
–
Miu: Ohhhh? So you finally wanna see what a REAL pair of tits looks like?!
Miu: BRING IT ON!!!
Miu: …
Miu: Ahhhhh! Quit staaaaaaaariiiiiiiiing!!!
Kaede: (Iruma-san…)
–
Himiko: Nyehhh… I don’t wanna swim though… How troublesome…
Himiko: …
Himiko: But…come to think of it…lounging around…with a parasol…might not be as troublesome… *
Kaede: (…Does she want me to pamper her or something?)
–
Tsumugi: Goodness, Akamatsu-san, you really do come across strong sometimes.
Tsumugi: …
Tsumugi: …Ohhh, because of the pool!! Did you want to try out one of my amazing bathing suit cosplays, Akamatsu-san?! Well in that case!!!
Tsumugi: As long as it’s cosplay, even a bikini is fine! Now, Akamatsu-san, LaLa cosplay is a MUST for someone like you…!**
Kaede: (Someone like me…? Because of music…? Also why did I feel like I unleashed Armageddon?!)
–
Kirumi: Are you suggesting that so that we can enjoy the pool together?
Kirumi: …
Kirumi: I apologize Akamatsu-san, I must decline. A maid’s work is never finished and I must always be prepared. But thank you for asking.
Kaede: (Toujou-san…do you ever relax…?)***
–
Tenko: U-Uwaaaaah, A-Akamatsu-san asking me that is… Is…!!!!
Tenko: …
Tenko: T-Tenko…really is sad…she can’t swim…
Kaede: There might be flotation devices in the warehouse.****
Tenko: HOO HAH!
Kaede: (And there’s Chabashira-san’s more characteristic vital spirit!!)
–
Angie: Then, let us begin! Nyahaha!
Angie: Do not worry, Kaede!
Angie: Angie has a lot of experience!
Kaede: (E-Experience?!)*****

*That’s a reference to the Chapter 2 event because why not.
**Yes, that’s an Ouran reference within a reference. Bite me.
***The answer is no because Kirumi dislikes leisure. Despair!
****I know there isn’t supposed to be any further verbal input, but consider bite me.
*****This is the only event that pretty much stays the same.
this probably sounds vague but tenko and mikan in a fantasy/medieval/rpg au?
It’s alright, it’s a nice setting !
Mikan Tsumiki is the quiet second daughter of a noble but ultimately powerless and money-less family. Her family lives in the country, in a castle, but she was send to Royal Court to continue her studies ( she aspires to be a healer ) and find her place in society.
Tenko Chabashira isn’t a noble but is the adopted daughter of the Sword Master. She has always been hot-heated and his guardian accepted to teach her how to fight.
The first time they meet, Mikan is being harassed by a noble man, and Tenko doesn’t even realize what’s happening before she knocks him out.
Knowing what will happen if she gets caught after hurting someone with a rank as high as the guy lying on the floor, Mikan helps her to escape the castle, making her promise to lay low for a while, until the whole story is behind them.
Tenko agrees and disappears for a while. Mikan thinks about her a lot and sometimes wonders if she will ever see her again.
( They actually do, years later, when Mikan officially became a healer, and Tenko gets seriously hurt in one of her fight and Mikan almost performs a miracle when she saves her, winning other people’s admiration and Tenko’s heart. )
Komaeda was always, always too curious for his own good.
He was the type to get his light green tail stuck and trapped, or the type to linger too close to human ships and end up getting litter tossed on his head haplessly. Yet Komaeda kept looking, kept searching, kept watching, because humans were simply such curious things.
It feels that they do so much more then we do.
His tail was ripped in several places near the bottom of the fins, holes in it from his skin splitting, from getting caught in fishing nets and hooks. Most of the other mermaids and mermen stayed away from him, thinking him strange.
Maybe I’m strange. But humans are stranger.
They really were. And so Komaeda kept watching. One night, there was a human ship that seemed to be throwing a party of sorts. Bright colours like Komaeda’s curious eyes had never seen rained down from the sky, leaving smoke in their wake. Magic…
But something went wrong - one of the colourful bursts was aimed wrong - and before Komaeda knew it, the beautiful ship was completely red and hot, something Komaeda had never seen before.
It seemed dangerous, though, as the humans were scrambling to another ship, yelling at each other and shoving them on in their haste to get off. Komaeda ducked down to swim closer, keeping his face mostly under the water except for his eyes, fins by his ears.Curious. So curious.
He yelped, out of instinct, when suddenly there was a splash next to him. A human, maybe…?
He glanced up from the darkness of the undership, and saw two men talking in a language he couldn’t understand. Komaeda frowned, but glanced at what had made the splash.
Ah. It wasn’t a human. It was just a bag. Huffing, Komaeda opened it with webbed fingers, then gasped.
A boy had been inside, and he pulled the bag off of him hastily, letting it soak in seawater. Komaeda gasped softly, tongue clicking.
A really pretty boy.
His hair was like tendrils in the water, spreading out against pale skin and a dark suit. His lips were slightly parted, and Komaeda could see bubbles flowing from in between them.
Oh. He’s drowning.
Those two men must have intended this. Komaeda frowned, and immediately dived under the waves, wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling him upwards. Thankfully, he wasn’t that heavy. Thankfully.
They broke the surface, Komaeda pressing his ear against his chest. No noise…
Whining, he smacked the other’s cheek, unsure of what to do. The smaller boat that had carried off the humans was gone, and he couldn’t trust the two men above him. What was he supposed to do?How do you stop a human from drowning!?
He smacked the other’s chest a few times, and after a few, suddenly, seawater was sprayed all over his face as the boy coughed.
If he’s coughing, he’s breathing, right? The boy’s eyes fluttered, briefly, and Komaeda caught a slash of crimson - but then they were shut again and his head lolled. He didn’t open his eyes again, but when he checked his chest, it was moving and a banging he recognized as a heartbeat was sounding in his ear, to his relief.
What...do I do...?
He clearly couldn’t leave him here. Frowning, but determined, he grabbed the other by the shoulder, starting to swim towards land and letting him rest on his back. It was difficult...but eventually he made it to the mouth of a cave, pulling the boy to the rocky shore.
Should I stay...? Ahh, I can’t help but be excited...I want...to talk to a human...just once...
He might get lucky, after all, and the human would just think he’d been a fever dream. So he sat on a rock, letting his damaged tail flick up and in the water, making soft splashes.
It wasn’t until the sun started to rise that the boy stirred.
Komaeda jolted as the boy groaned softly, jumping into the water closer to the shore, peering his head above the orange waves as the other sat up, examining his drenched clothes. He really was proper - he looked over himself, with a stern frown on his face.
Beautiful..ahh...
Komaeda couldn’t help a soft noise from escaping his lips, and the boy jumped, looking over at him with cautious crimson eyes. Komaeda had been excited, but faced with the other, he swallowed, and almost ducked his head.
“...You are...?”
The boy was speaking a language he knew part of - dictionaries often fell into the sea, and Komaeda tried to preserve and read many of them. Clearly, the other boy knew nothing of merfolk. He splashed his tail, and the other’s eyes went slightly wide.
“...Saved...” Komaeda said, in a voice that sounded too much like a song to sound entirely human, “...saved you.”
“...You saved me?” The boy’s eyebrows rose, and Komaeda nodded.
“...Nagito found you. In a bag. Bubbles coming from your mouth. So...Nagito saved you. Sorry.”
“Nagito?” The boy’s eyebrows furrowed, “...ah...that is...your name...?”
“...Nagito...Komaeda Nagito.”
“...Nagito, then.” The boy stood, somewhat shakily. “...I am Kamukura Izuru. A prince of this kingdom. Do you know what a prince is?”
Komaeda didn’t know, as it happened, but he wanted to at least guess for the boy. Judging from his appearance. “...Someone...pretty...? Izuru is pretty. So...”
Kamukura blinked once. Twice.“...Never mind. So. You are truly...” He gestured at him, “...a mermaid?”
“...Uh huh.” He shook his head. “...Not...s’possed to talk to humans. But. Nagito really likes humans. They’re interesting...Nagito might get in trouble, but it doesn’t...matter...”
“...How can you speak this language?” Kamukura asked carefully, sitting back down and looking down at him with fascination. Komaeda hummed softly.
“Books fall in the sea. Nagito reads the ones that aren’t broken. Interesting.”
Kamukura’s eyes were still wide, and he eyed his tail, splashing in the water eagerly.
“...You are the one who is interesting.” The boy hesitated. “Can you come closer, Komaeda Nagito?”Komaeda wanted to comply, but he remembered horror stories - and even remembered his own feeling of being pierced by hooks, and shuddered, shaking his head.
“...You assume I will hurt you? How rude. I owe you my life. I am not so dishonourable as to harm my rescuer...” He shook his head. “I will not hurt you, so please. I would like to see more of you.”Komaeda hesitated, but the other’s eyes looked sincere. Whimpering softly, he complied, pulling himself up onto the rocky shore next to the other, the tip of his tail splashing in the water anxiously. His fins stretched out from above his ears, and the other tried to touch them - Komaeda whined softly when he did, and he immediately pulled back.
“Ah. Sensitive.” He fell silent, “I apologize, Komaeda Nagito.”
Komaeda shook his head. He didn’t want to disappoint the first human that didn’t try to trap or kill him. He whined, leaning in again. If he wanted to touch them...it was fine...
“...Fins, then, Interesting.” Kamukura was more careful touching them again, studying him like a scientist. “Can you breathe, up here?”
“...Nagito has to touch the water. Or Nagito will die.”Kamukura’s eyes swept down to his tail, dotted with holes, and he hummed contemplatively.
“...These holes and wounds...what are they from...?”Komaeda gave a sheepish smile.
“Nagito is careless and stupid. Nagito gets caught in human traps and on hooks. Humans try to catch Nagito...because Nagito is stupid and gets too close...haha...”
Kamukura looked over the wounds again.
“...They must be quite painful. I apologize.”
Komaeda didn’t understand that. It was mostly his own fault, for getting so close to humans. But the other’s gaze looked sincere yet again, so he shrugged.
“...I admit, I never thought creatures such as you existed. It is a shame you must hide yourself.” Kamukura again looked over him. “Hmph.”
“...Sorry...” Komaeda murmured, if only because he thought he should.
“Do not apologize.” He shook his head. “...I should thank you for saving my life. Is there anything you want, Komaeda Nagito? I am a prince, so I may give you any human trinket you desire.”
He tilted his head, tugging on the other’s hair briefly with his webbed fingers. What he was about to ask...was probably out of line, but...
“Nagito wants to see...Izuru again...” He murmured, pond coloured eyes flitting up. “Please come again? Izuru seems...nice...and...um...um...honest...and pretty...” He blinked. “...Nagito wants...to learn more..about humans...so...”
Kamukura hadn’t expected that - he blinked in surprise, then his gaze grew soft. He nodded after a moment.
“I suppose that is a reasonable desire. Very well. I would like to see you again, Nagito. To learn more about your kind...so I suppose that is fair.” He frowned. “...Why, though, are you tugging on my hair? You already have my attention.”
“...Um...seaweed...”“Seaweed...?”“...Izuru’s hair...is long...like seaweed...ehehe...”Kamukura blinked, and scowled just slightly. “...I must admit, that is a first. You’re quite a rude little mermaid, aren’t you?”Komaeda stuck out his tongue and Kamukura sighed.“Childish, as well -”He halted, as another human voice could be heard. Komaeda yelped on instinct, going to jump into the water, before Kamukura grabbed his wrist, stopping him. For half a heartbeat, he regretted every decision of that night, but then Kamukura whispered in his ear from behind.
“Return here. Tomorrow at sunfall.”Sunfall...he knew what that meant. When the sun went down and the sea went orange, again. He nodded, slowly, and the other let go of his wrist. He dived under the waves as the other turned, his heart pounding as he swam down and deep, twirling and spinning.
A human actually spoke to me and agreed to see me again...ahh...it’s really amazing...!
i’m sorry this took me so long to do!!! i haven’t written anything in a while and it was a little harder to get back in the saddle than i thought, even tho it’s super short lol.
8. “Because I care about you!”
14. “Hold my hand. You’re going to be fine”
post-sdr2 au where komaeda wakes up after the simulation but izuru is there instead of hinata? was it izuru the whole time in the simulation too?? who knows don’t read too much into it lmao
(also I took liberties with the quotes)
“You shouldn’t be here.”
He doesn’t know how Komaeda hears him approach. Perhaps the tell was a shadow cast over the bed. Komaeda sits on it, facing the wall. He’s holding his left arm up, staring at the vacant space where a hand once was, as though it might materialize once more if he looked hard enough.
Kamukura says nothing in response to his cold words, only lingering in the doorway silently.
“Didn’t you hear me, Kamukura-kun?” Komaeda’s back is still to him as he speaks, staring at the chipped paint of the hospital room wall. “I admire your hope, but you shouldn’t waste it on me.” His voice is devoid of the excitement and passion with which he normally speaks of hope.
“What would you have me do?” There’s barely a lilt in Kamukura’s tone that suggests he asked a question.
“Don’t bother with someone like me,” is Komaeda’s reply.
Kamukura waits for him to say more, but he falls silent. He can never tell exactly what is going on in Komaeda’s head, which is strange for someone like him.
His eyes fall again to Komaeda’s arm.
“I’m going to make you a new hand.”
“Don’t.”
Komaeda’s voice takes on a harsh, authoritative tone that Kamukura has hardly ever heard from him. He ignores it, entering the room, noiselessly stepping closer to the bed.
“I want to.”
“Why?” Finally Komaeda whips to face him, and Kamukura is a bit startled to see his eyes are glistening with unshed tears. “I don’t understand, Kamukura-kun. Why would you want to do that? Why would you want to help me at all, or spend time with me?”
“Because I care about you.”
Komaeda flinches, almost imperceptibly. He looks away and Kamukura can see the cogs turning in his head, his brow furrowed in surprise and frustration, as though that response is the last possible thing he could’ve expected. Perhaps it was--Kamukura was never good at expressing his feelings. “I--I don’t deserve that.”
“I think you do.” Kamukura sits on the bed next to him, but Komaeda avoids looking at him. “I don’t blame you for what you did in the simulation. I don’t care about what you did in Despair. We all just want to move on now, and focus on the future.”
Gently, he lays his hand over Komaeda’s arm, touching the wrist and the scarred stump where a hand would be. That finally gets Komaeda to look at him again, with a start. His eyes, still shimmering, go wide with surprise.
“Everything is going to be fine,” Kamukura tells him, and he’s not in the habit of making promises about an uncertain future.
But looking at the hesitant, hopeful expression that makes its way onto Komaeda’s face, he decides to make sure this promise will be kept.
Aah I really loved your last one, this time can I ask for komahina au where komaeda forgets everything that happened in the simulation (basically hinameshi :p)
It’s always very hard for me to think about Servant!Komaeda. He is weirdly consistent with Normal!Komaeda, but he is a lot less easier to read, imo.
One thing that Hinata is very bothered by, is that Servant always call him ‘Kamukura’. One day he just snaps and tells him to respect his choice to go by the name Hinata. Servant tells him that the problem is that Hinata sees that name as an insult, which isn’t the case for Servant. Hinata replies that like it isn’t. Servant just laughs : ‘Ah… maybe a little.’
Hinata suggests him to take The Hand off, by surgery. It’s especially important with Mikan’s fragile mental state. Servant wants to keep it, though. “Why”, Hinata asks. “As a reminder that she is everywhere”, Servant replies, and Hinata doesn’t have the courage to ask more.
They watch the videos of the killing game. It’s always hard for Hinata - some moments are harder. Servant smiles with amusement anytime he sees himself on screen. “Being a Hope’s Peak fanboy seems stupid these days, right ?”, and Hinata almost wants to defend the way he acted during the killing game, but then, it’s stupid isn’t it.
Servant is actually pretty admirative of Hinata’s actions in the Neo World Program, though. Hinata sees him watch the last trial, where he defies Junko Enoshima, quite a lot. He doesn’t know what to think of it.
“I’m not going to turn back into the peron you knew” Servant says one day. Hinata throws him a confused look. “Even if I remember the Island. I’ll still be me. I won’t be the same as I was on the island. I like you, still, but I don’t like you the way I did on the island. I’ve changed, like we all did. No matter how much you try to deny it by calling yourself ‘Hinata’ and wearing contact lenses.”
And Hinata can accept it. Maybe. Still, he wished there was someone else to stumble through their new reality with.
Who said “I love you” first : Tenko, no doubt about that ! She is totally okay expressing her feelings for Mikan :D Mikan probably receives these feelings like an upercut and screams forever, tho.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background : Mikan would have Tenko’s picture to give herself strenght. One day she is getting picked on, she looks at her phone and manages to snap back, and everyone is ‘wow’, and the she runs away and tell everything to Tenko in a middle of a good crying. Tenko is super proud.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror : Probably Tenko, with encouraging words, telling her it’s going to be a good day !
Who buys the other cheesy gifts : Both do it, mostly for occasions though. Tenko is the one goes really oveboard and embarasses Mikan so much. Once again, she screams forever.
Who initiated the first kiss : That’s such complicated question because these girls are such mess, urgh. I’m going to go with Mikan. Tenko would be in the middle to tell her how she needs to listen to herself more and be honest with her feelings, and suddenly Mikan would step her and say ‘I know what I want !’ and then would kiss her. And then scream forever.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning : They more or less wake up at the same time and Mikan knows that Tenko loves to kiss her awake, so even when she wakes up before her, she pretends to be asleep ~
Who starts tickle fights : I honestly can’t see any of them do it ? It doesn’t fit their character, in my opinion.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower : Mikan once she is a little more comfortable ~ Tenko is all flustered and makes a thousand excuses before locking herself in the bathroom, haha.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch : Mikan ! She always bring exactly what an active girl like Tenko needs, and Tenko really loves the domesticity of all this.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date : Both, but Mikan was at the edge of a panic attack. I hope she was with one of her friend before who helped her being calmer.
Who kills/takes out the spiders : They don’t like to kill them but they don’t like them in their house either. Mikan isn’t phobic but doesn’t like them that much, and Tenko is always happy to put them outside.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk : Oh, Tenko is super embarassing when she is drunk, oh my god. She repeats again and again how she has the best girlfriend in the world. Mikan is 50% super happy, 50% self-combusting.
For a moment, he could see the panic clearly flickering over Komaeda’s features. Then, Komaeda perked up, and then heaved a heavy, exasperated sigh of relief.
“You’re so irresponsible, Hinata-kun!” he huffed, fuming quite a bit. “First on you take on a hundred killer robots by yourself and then you get caught in a collapsed building! You overdid it! The others were awash with the despair that you’d never wake up! You should be ashamed! You should apologize to everyone!”
“Hah…”
“You should even apologize to me!” Komaeda went on. “You caused me so much trouble! So much…!” A pause, and Komaeda looked affronted. “A… Are you grinning at me?”
“Huh? Am I?” He couldn’t help it. Especially with such an adorably angry look on Komaeda’s face. Especially when Komaeda looked worried again.
“Are you…high…?”
“Ah, a little, probably,” Hinata giggled. “But, actually, I’m euphoric. Did you know that, like, I was swimming in and out of consciousness while I was out?”
Komaeda blinked at him.
“And sometimes, I could hear what people were saying while they visited.”
Realization dawned on Komaeda’s face, and those pale cheeks reddened considerably.
“So…” Hinata hummed, looking at him dreamily. “How long have you felt that way?”
“…you weren’t…supposed to hear that…” Komaeda’s cheeks flared as he squeaked. “Y-You weren’t supposed to hear any of that?! H-How much…?!”
“Not as much as I would’ve liked but,” Hinata shrugged. “Enough to get to point across. Still, that’s…”
“Humiliating!”
“It’s great!” he exclaimed. “I’ve been trying to confess to you for months! Man, it really was good luck I got caught up in that mess!”
Komaeda stilled, and he shivered.
“…So, um…” Hinata rubbed at the nape of his neck. “I, uh, really, really like you, too… Like…a crazy amount… So, er… If you want…to get together… That’d be great…”
Komaeda bit on his lower lip.
“Haha,” Hinata exhaled. “This is…really overwhelming, huh… My chest feels like it’s about to burst from nerves. But I…couldn’t stop…thinking about it… So I’m… I’m really, really glad…”
Komaeda breathed in sharply and breathed out.
Aah, I feel like I could die here and now…
“Hinata-kun… Please… Let’s just…focus on your recovery…”
Hinata nodded, still with that goofy grin. Komaeda definitely could’ve died from that.
I'm not sure if you received my ask first time so sorry if this seems redundant I'm also in no way rushing you ^^ kamukomahina (hinakoma and kamukoma) in twins AU?
Ah, no, it’s fine. Thank you! Hmmmm…
In a childhood friends setting, Komaeda was initially closer with Kamu. Later in life, however, he was closer with Hinata. For a time Komaeda was separated from them and underwent a bit of a personality change for…reasons I’m sure you can figure out. :’D
If just meeting the brothers for the first time in high school, Komaeda is initially dazzled by Kamukura but then immediately turned off by his apathy and disinterest, so Hinata has to play more the mediator for them at first.
…That said, he’s pretty patronizing to Hinata, too, which Hinata complains about until Kamukura starts theorizing on why he is the way he is (making some pretty correct assumptions such as Komaeda’s parents being out of the picture, Komaeda having no friends, Komaeda being bullied, etc), which concerns Hinata too much from that point to just leave Komaeda be.
That said, Kamukura still plays mediator when Hinata and Komaeda start bickering like children. But because Komaeda literally does not care, he’s completely non-threatened by Kamukura unlike anyone else.
Weirdly enough, both Hinata and Komaeda grow more comfortable with him as a result of this. Komaeda does not pick up on it because he’s really fucking dense. Both brothers suffer when they realize they both really kinda like him and Komaeda just…has no idea. He has no fucking idea. Suddenly his life is a trashy harem anime and he has no idea.
