J. Michael Straczynski writing that the function, nay, purpose of the universe is self-understanding? In media I chose to engage with for my own entertainment?
It’s more likely than you think.

Hey, don't cry.
J Michael Straczynski is uploading all of Babylon5 on YouTube for free okay?
Wanna vomit?
Reasons I liked Spider-Man Brand New Day
It had comic accurate scenes ( yet many, many that were beyond what the characters have ever been in the comics ( which is a lot!) or in previous movies.
They had heart and used the above to make a good movie first. I can not emphasize how important that is. In any movie, comic or story.
And while parts of me realise it is a movie, a products, a corporate vehicle it manages to fool me by giving it stakes and risk( no matter how much of an illusion those are)
In the way like in this page from Amazing Spider-Man #34 by J Michael Straczynski and John Romita Jr
no, this scene is not in the movie ( I do not do spoilers) but the spirit and humanity of it is
Messing with the Babylon 5 fans by arguing that J Michael Straczynski's best work was Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future and it's all been downhill from there.
my two cents on the whole Doctor Who debacle right now: the BBC needs to get J. Michael Straczynski in there.
He's got extensive background helming Numerous fiction/sci-fi/fantasy projects involving well-established properties (Ghostbusters, Marvel stuff like Spider Man and Thor, and DC stuff like Superman) while also being aware and supportive of the lgbtqia+ communities (he was one of the creators behind Sense 8, alongside the Wachowskis), and knowing what it means to stick with a long-running personal project (Babylon 5 my beloved). Also, he moved to the UK permanently last year, with the intention of getting into the UK film and tv industry in some capacity.
He's literally sitting right there, and would be perfect for the job of showrunner as far as I'm concerned. DW needs to take a very different approach than it has been, and I think Straczynski would be just the guy to help facilitate that change.

I still dislike J. Michael Straczynski!
