I know, Jessica Cruz spam... But I've been reading Green Lanterns again and I never knew how important it was to feel represented by a fictional character until I met Jessica Cruz.

I feel like I’m too old to fully enjoy “DC Superhero Girls” stories, but I appreciate that they exist and are aimed at girls because all I had growing up was Sailor Moon. And I was ECSTATIC to hear that not only is a version of Jessica Cruz being added to their lineup, she’s still got anxiety and insecurity. I would have loved seeing a story about an anxious superheroine like J-Bird when I was a kid, because all of us can understand being overwhelmed when we’re kids, so I hope it’s successful. I also really like her character design for it. If they make toys of her for that line I might try to buy them to show my support.
