overall; jiyoo has a pretty good relationship with gold star. sure, she does have her slight problems with some of the way things are run but they're problems that anyone could have with any company. while she does wish that the company would support her more in her solo ventures, it's also something she has to want. and jiyoo could say that she gets along with everyone, she's pretty friendly but there are a few stand-outs in the company.
manager; aria's current manager and one of the best people earth. since her debut, there wasn't a time she didn't feel supported by her manager at the very least. and seeing as this was someone she spent several years with, it's hard to image any type of life were her manager wasn't in it.
ms hwang; one of her jynx's favorite people at gold star. an older lady who works in the cafeteria of the company. she wasn't in the company when jiyoo first started as a trainee and came on around the time of aria's debut. and the older woman quickly learned that jiyoo had an endless stomach. after that, the woman quickly learned that jiyoo could eat for days and they developed a very friendly relationship. ( also giving her extra servings. )
hyunsoo; kang hyunsoo, her vocal coach and someone who would very much consider her a pest. ( in a loving way. ) he's probably the person that pushes her most in singing and in life in general. he's been at the company since jiyoo became a trainee and he quickly became like an older brother to her. in her early debut years, he pushed her to really work on her vocals and become more than just another okay singer since aria's concept wouldn't focus on her dance skills. his advice is something she values. ( but she loves to annoy him more. )
coach kim; someone she really got to know a year or so after being in gold star. she didn't have many classes with the other woman until one of the dance trainers left the company. there, she started to get to know coach kim a little more and they developed a fun relationship. ( mainly because coach kim wondered how she was a good dancer with how clumsy she was. ) but the woman saw her skill and respected it. funny enough, when the idea of aria was being tossed around, coach kim told her to really think about it. she felt like jiyoo's skills would be better suited for a group that would focus on dancing and too wait. still, she supported jiyoo when it was clear she would debut and skill makes sure her skills were kept sharp.
thing’s are good with her step-mom and her family, she hasn’t done anything to really cause an embarrassment and her connection to her family isn’t super public
people know she’s an idol that has a wealthy background ( even if married in )
but things with her dad aren’t..great..in fact, he threw a bunch of her problems in her life, like thinking of the current state as a problem
he didn’t cause problems ( not with her at least ) but he did make things uncomfortable in the worst of ways
which brings her to current state, ever since she found about jiah, ( since last year to be exact. it was hard to believe this much time has passed since they found out. ) thing’s have just been different in ways she isn’t sure how to cope with
at the same time she found out about her sister, she found about her dads illness. and considering his track record, she’s scared to bring it up to her step-mom
( because that leads to thoughts of he’s telling the truth, if something happens to her, what would they do? has she been apart of the family long enough to be cared for even if she didn’t have blood relations. it was something to worry about another time. )
so..she doesn’t know how to interact with her dad, he tossed a sister into her life
and he tossed her into jiah’s life
which brings her to her sister, as a person, jiyoo is crushed for jiah. it wasn’t fair and her -their- dad had no reason for doing that. for walking out and coming back now. when he knew jiah all of her life, if he wanted a relationship, he should’ve went to earlier
and the way he did it was awful, she shouldn’t have been there. this wasn’t fair to the both of them. she shouldn't been forced to feel awkward and jiah should’ve been able to have alone time with him. not a reminder.
it was the worst thing he could’ve done and she was upset for jiah
which brings her to another thing she feel’s sorry for..
he’s her dad.
as horrible as he is, he’s her dad and her dad had just upset two people’s lives. he didn’t realize how bad it was.
and now around jiah, she feels awkward and sorry. she’s hesitating about saying his name or saying the word dad. she knows she’s blunt and can think without speaking tactfully. she’s scared it’s going to happen
it’s complicated and somehow she wants to make it easier. even if it means not really having contact with jiah, right now she’s very reactionary. it’s easier to jiah draw the line ( even if it’s a little cowardly. )
right now, when it comes to home or the thought of family, it’s very chaotic. she’s someone loves to visit home but she hasn’t been in a while. only coming to important family events and she’s mostly with her step-mom. it’s easy to tell something’s up but she hasn’t been asked yet.
overall, she’s not sure where’s she’s at with her dad and her sister yet but she hopes it works out for now the better. for now, she’s more comfortable with focusing on work more than anything else. ( and wondering what she could say to jiah when she was around her. )
the main fact being that she had got a magazine cover along with a brand deal
so 2020 managed to give her fans a lot of things right off the bat
but that aside, she's been pretty much coasting and wondering about what to do
but it wasn't until this month that she realized that she needed to get things together
aria had almost nothing to do and the sudden realization has hit her after months of saying she'll start to get to work on something
if not for her brand deal, there really would be nothing to do
it's a little startling so she's planning to move into action
right now, she still doesn't have a plan for a real solo music career, it could come or go but if she does release something, jiyoo wants it to be fun and a little different than aria or a lot depending
it's great to her that there is the portal station, it'd be a good way to release songs and try out concepts because she's not sure if she wants to do promotions
when it comes to other adventures, jiyoo has her mind set on going into the variety world more, along with the fashion industry
so, she'll be activity looking for brands to work with and keeping an ear out for any modeling gigs or ad works.
this is because she knows gold star isn't really looking, not due to not wanting to manage them but because she's never voice her desire for more work ( so she'll also be making that more known )
this also means calling in her contacts, jiyoo has been good at networking so it's time to put that to use and see how that can help her career
in the end though, she has money and she's happy and it's not her style to rush things, she's ready to see where life will take her her
goals she's set for this year so far are another brand deal, another cf and possibly releasing at least one song through the portal system
her personal life as also changed this year in a slight major way ( major for her at least )
her friendships and the like hadn't worsened and that's all she could really ask for but her new? relationship with seungwoo is something she's shocked by herself
at no point did jiyoo expect them to become friends and she wouldn't call them that but there is something happening and she's not sure how to feel about it
whatever it is, she's taking as she always does, just coating and seeing how things go
other than that, 2020 seems like it will be another relaxed year for her and she's still not sure if it's a good idea or a bad one
one huge goal is to have a fan meet at the end of the year
+ Day Twenty-Five: What does your muse want to be remembered for in the idol world? Do they want to be remembered for their vocal prowess? Their image? Their dancing skills? Their scandals?
if anything, jiyoo would simply settle with being member. it’s easy to get lost in the idol world, for people to overlook you so just being remembered would be great. but if she had to pick something, it would be her personality. she wants to be remembered as someone that people liked and had no problems with.
+ Day Twenty-Six: Does your muse ever regret becoming an idol? Do they ever think about what they would be doing instead if they lived a normal life? If they could go back in time, would they do everything all over again? Or would they end up doing something else?
she doesn’t regret becoming an idol, it wasn’t something she expected but she does like it. if jiyoo had the chance to go back in time, she’d still make the same choices. it’s been a wonderful experience and she has been happy. if she wasn’t an idol, she’s not sure what she’d do. the time she would’ve used for that, it was used to find her idol path.
+ Day Twenty-Seven: After working hard on promotions, your muse is given the chance to take a two week vacation anywhere in the world at any time they want, with nobody bothering them. Where would they go and when? Why would they want to take their vacation there? If they had the opportunity to bring three other people, who would they bring?
if she could bring anyone, her besties from high school and a friend she has made recently. they’d travel as much as they could for two weeks, it’s not something she’s thought about it. her method would be to right down a list of places and then randomly pick two. most likely places with a sun and local activities.
+ Day Twenty-Eight: Talk about your muse’s low point in life. Why was this a low point in their life? What kind of challenges did they face and how did they feel about this? Were they able to overcome it? If it is still ongoing, are they working on overcoming these challenges? ‘
until this point, jiyoo hasn’t had a low point. or she’s had one and hasn’t realized it. she’d like to not reach one. her life isn’t the most amazing but it’s not bad either. but if something does happen, jiyoo likes to think of herself as someone who’d face things head on. there’s still a lot of life left to happen, so there’s no telling what will happen in the future.
+ Day Twenty-Nine: Talk about your muse’s most meaningful moment as an idol. This is what they feel so far is the highest point in their life and where they’ve never been happier. Recall the memory and describe it; what happened and how did they feel?
the most meaningful moment had to be at their first fan-meet. it was really a humbling moment, it was one thing to plan to debut and it was another thing when it really happened. but being on stage was very different from being in front of fans. she was nervous at the start but happy and as it went on, jiyoo found herself slowly growing comfortable. they would always have fan-meets but this was something different and it wouldn’t happen again.
+ Day Thirty: Think about your muse’s life down the road. Where would they be and what would they be doing? Would they still be in the entertainment industry? Would they settle down and have a family?
the thought of family sounds nice but she isn’t sure if she really wants to have kids. adoption is a big option for her but she isn’t keen on giving birth yet. caring for someone though, she could do that. jiyoo see’s herself partly in the music industry, releasing music and touring here or there but nothing too big. that being said, she’d still be focused in appearing on tv and working on creating her fashion brand under her name.
+ Day Nineteen: jiyoo plans to move into modeling and variety for the second half of her career. there are plans to release solo music but her main focus will be getting into the beauty and fashion world, while playing around in variety shows that are fast paced and full of fun.
+ Day Twenty: jiyoo’s ideal super group would be her, yonce, dahyun and lux. the group would be fairly popular, most likely leading more in the international scene than domestically in korea. the group would center around girl crush mostly, leaning towards more sexier and mature concepts.
+ Day Twenty-One: jiyoo honestly loves her fans, she treats them more like friends than anything else, which would most likely lead to her problem with sasaeng fans. she obviously has a distaste about it. due to luck, she hasn’t encountered a sasang by herself and her go to idea would be to simply tell them off and move on with her day.
+ Day Twenty-Two: if anything, jiyoo wants aria to host a real world tour and to be taken more seriously in the west. jiyoo does personally plan to release a solo album or two just without many promotions on music shows. she does have interest in music outside of aria but her bigger goals stray away from music.
+ Day Twenty-Three: jiyoo thinks that idols should be able to date openly, even if it’s still taboo. she did date after debuting but nothing ever lasted too long. the biggest challenge is being able to really go out and see each other. most of the time, it was easier to hang out in the back of music shows or events when were the fans and public wouldn’t be able to see it. the sneaking around part could be very tiring.
+ Day Twenty-Four: jiyoo doesn’t have a set ideal type, not a person she could pick. in the end, she wants someone she could have fun with. someone whos flaws, she would be able to handle in later years.
+ Day Thirteen: i think the biggest challenge is..conflicting opinions. everyone has something they want to do, so it can be hard to get everyone to agree on something. there are always minor conflicts and you have to find a way to get past those. that being said, i don’t think there was ever a moment i wanted to be alone, i love being in a group and i love being with my members.
+ Day Fourteen: a full solo carrier wouldn’t be ideal for jynx, she was made for a group. when it comes to the group, they create a nice buffer for her personality. sometimes it’s great it can be great for variety and sometimes, it doesn’t work for her. though, if she was a soloist, her sound would be pop-ish and very dance heavy as that’s one of her younger skills.
+ Day Fifteen: one of the people she looks up happens to be a idol who retired a few years ago. jiyoo was able to get close to her and they have a nice friendship. the idol received a lot of hate but managed to endure it and it’s something that jynx aspires to be able to do. funny enough, she was a rapper, a skill that jiyoo doesn’t really have.
+ Day Sixteen: if she could do a special stage with any group, it’d be mars and the song would be voodoo doll. there aren’t a lot of songs from mars that she likes but voodoo doll is really creepy and the music video that calls to her a lot. it’d be a fun song and she could see it being an even better stage.
+ Day Seventeen: when it comes to variety, jynx does fairly well. she does better with shows that are a bit faster pace or that are focused on a comedic tone. with it comes to more serious shows, she doesn't really shine that much. knowing brothers would be a good show for her to go on, even if she had to go as a soloist. it’s funny and has a nice flow to it, another show would be weekly idol or idol room.
+ Day Eighteen: normally, jiyoo get’s along with all of the people in her company. she’s known as a friendly sunbae and it’s true to a point. she’s willing to talk to anyone and try and hang out with them at some point. she’s under gold star media and right now, it doesn’t seem as if she has any bad relationships and those that are bad, are slowly being mended.
+ Day Seven: it was fairly easy to chose which era was her favorite. if anything, it’d be im so sick because it still had their color but leaned towards what she liked. that being said, if she went with the less obvious choice, it’d be nonono. simply because it was fun and catchy. it was another love song ( most of their songs were. ) but it was fun to perform and it was really got the ball rolling for them.
+ Day Eight: her strong points will always be singing and dancing when it comes to most obvious of skills. it was something she was good at without really trying to hard, along with would be friendless, if that counted. it’s easy for her to walk up and talk to someone. the biggest hurdle for her would be coming off right when she’s on tv. a lot of the times, it’s hard for her to word what she wants to carefully enough. sometimes she can beyond blunt and that has rubbed the public the wrong way.
+ Day Nine: jiyoo leans more towards the tomboy-ish style. overall, she prefers comfort. outside of outfits during promotions or special events, she doesn’t have a lot of skirts or dresses in her personal wardrobe. and while a nice pair of heels can go a long way, she prefers boots and tennis shoes. her favorite outfit is a simple one, jeans, a nice graphic t and tennis shoes. there’s no need to over complicate things.
+ Day Ten: bang insoo, yeseul and hayoung. insoo had been a friend she had growing up, he lived next door and their mothers were close friends. cut from the same cloth ( insoo at least. ), they had been allowed to play together and grew up like brother and sister. yeseul was a friend she met in high school, someone who made her feel welcomed in this new world. they’ve stuck by each other’s side through a few different times. lastly, hayoung is someone she’s met in her adult life, a stylist the group previously worked with. the two hit it off and have been close since.
+ Day Eleven: jiyoo hasn’t really had any scandals, nothing big by her standards at least. a few times she’s been called rude for some of her behavior or thought-less but nothing really sticks. most comments wonder why people should care and her fan base is pretty active in making sure nothing blows up too bad. and all publicity isn’t good publicity in her mind. not unless the brand your going for is a bit rebelish.
+ Day Twelve: if anything, jiyoo loves the sister-hood of being in a group. it’s fun being around people and having someone to share the burden. her members are understanding and allow her personality to come out. something jiyoo does value because not everyone likes it. simply, she enjoys having people to lean on.
+ Day One: yoon jiyoo, better known as jynx once she debuted. she holds the title of main rapper dancer and lead vocalist in the group.
+ Day Two: most of her childhood, she didn’t want for much because they never had much. and she had learned about asking for more. at that point, jiyoo wasn’t sure if she had a real dream. she was just going day to day. things changed when her father re-married and suddenly she had money, money. it was also how she became an idol. scouted a some event and she joined gold star to become a model. after spending some time in the company, they noticed her skills and she was transferred to an idol trainee.
+ Day Three: there wouldn’t be any advice to give to her younger self, debuting as an idol had become a thing of luck. she didn’t audition or do anything special, she happened to be good looking and had real skills behind it all. jiyoo hadn’t promoted herself but the company saw it, in time for a new girl group. if anything, she would tell herself that her family wouldn’t mind her becoming an idol and not to worry about it.
+ Day Four: being a trainee was honestly fun. it was hard but it was fun. being a model-ish trainee didn’t require too much from her. the transition was a little tough but it had mostly to do with time management. jiyoo had always been known as an active girl so she had the energy. singing and dancing in a more professional setting had been a slight challenge but one she managed to overcome with time.
+ Day Five: aria debuted with ‘i don’t know’, she did like the song well enough. all in all, jiyoo really didn’t mind what they debuted with. the cute concept worked for the group and she couldn’t be mad. overall, she fit in with the concept. better said, she was able to fit in with the cute concept even though that wasn’t her personally. there was a want to do something more but she wasn’t upset with what aria was or what they would be. it wasn’t as if she hated her groups own sound, so if things changed it would be cool but if they stayed the same, she didn’t have any problems.
+ Day Six: personally, jiyoo thinks she leans more towards a girl-crush & sexy concept. with it came to the aesthetic she liked and her own personal style. i’m so sick was a good direction and she was a little sad they went back to the cuter concept with lost n found. given the chance, she’d like to continue in the style of i’m so sick or do something that leaned more towards girl crush.
