Ana: A Short Story,Part One

Ana sat on the hood of her car, the sun going down in the background. It had a certain glow that meshed well with the rest of her California Summer.

She NEEDED that escape, so she sat using the leftover light to write in a leatherbound journal.

Her parents were in the house, they'd been arguing for months, and she thought for sure they were on the verge of a divorce.

If you want to be a great writer, it helps to learn the music of it all, and not just surface level. Become fluent in it.

Nobody is a perfect writer, we all hit the occasional "wrong note" so to speak. Don't beat yourself up, but always be leveling up.

Never settle for sloppy.
