There's beauty in your photographs,
You've really got an eye for that

When that misty mountain morning
finally fades
I could scroll your pages every day

Saw a panda in a top hat, oh it was quite the scene
He was quite the gentlepanda as far as I could see
Along with his top hat, he wore a brilliant velvet vest
Guess he had a date that night, and wanted to look his best.

Just comedy gold
I am not a Grateful Dead fan, much, but there is an enduring mystery involving the band (or rather fans) that has grabbed people's attention for years.
It's not just Internet mythology either. There have been documented disappearances and even deaths of "Deadheads" for quite a while now.
The most plausible explanation I have read that might account for the ones that are actual documented crimes, is that a deranged fan committed them.
Crazed fans stalking celebrities isn't a new thing. Crazed fans stalking other fans however, that idea is new to me.
We're not talking about a cartoon villain,or a cliche "Lifetime" style villain in a hoodie, but real world dyed in the wool evil incarnate.
One of my favorite methods of art is call and response. Basically, a piece inspires someone, and that someone riffs on it to create a response, then others come along and do likewise until there's a chain of unique but related work.
As people do this, one great thing is it helps the visibility of all artists involved in the chain. Another,is that "artist block" becomes rare.
One of my favorite statements ever from the late food critic Jonathan Gold is that he loved making a career out of the professional eating of tacos.
That's not to say that's all he ate, he had a quite diverse (and admittedly sometimes bizarre) palate.
I love how down to earth he was, he never got a big headed attitude, even when he became well known.
Dear all,
I've already had a most excellent day thus far.
Aside from doing my art and music, I've been listening to podcasts on Jonathan Gold and Anthony Bourdain.
In about an hour, my wife and son should be up for the day.
Yesterday, I did a video chat with my mother. She's actually looking pretty good, you'd never know without being told that she had advanced stage (and supposedly terminal) cancer.
She's upbeat, despite her pain, and I think she's more resilient than her doctors even know. They've given her months, but I'm praying she's got years left.
Given my massive interest in music, I came up with a completely custom digital musical instrument.
Without giving too much away, I will say technically, the concept dropped fully formed into my mind, which was cool.
@ some future point I might make an app version for other people to download and play.
I was listening today to a poet named Shane
He has a way with words that feels like novacaine
Sweet relief on the worst of pain
and me? I stand in awe of such an amazing soul
& a brilliant brain, every time I step away
From hearing what he has to say
I look forward to the moment I can get
back to it again

Sixteen, and whipping quick out of
your daddy's driveway
In the hand me down car you got for your birthday,
Cause you got that old lecture "My way or the highway"
It's classic,many people relate,
So quick to want to grow up
Like you just can't wait
But years from now, when you look back,
with wisdom and age in your eyes,
You're going to realize your daddy knew more
than you gave him credit for
& he was trying to protect you from learning things the hard way

Might expand this into a song sometime.
Foster grew up wild on the U.S. borderland,
with a lifelong love for those old country bands
In a town known for rodeo, cracked desert, and heat
He learned all about hard work,
Passion,rhythm and beat,
He left out of college chasing down a dream
Come hell or high water, he knew his destiny

Dear Ones, I hope everyone's day so far has been excellent.
I talked to my mother for a bit after I got up for the day earlier. I have also been watching a weird sci-fi movie from 2010 about a creature that takes the form of a car as camouflage and eats people.
It's absurd, not even scary, but it's an interesting change up to a classic sci-fi monster movie trope.
Dear Ones,
I have been reading up on music related mysteries. I might write an article in the near future on the most bizarre and interesting ones.
I also haven't forgotten other writing projects I need to get back to. ♥️
In the meantime, it's early morning here and I might actually need to sleep soon. I'll catch up with you all later today,if I am back online.
There's a poem by the bed there in a frame
It's the last letter that she wrote him
Before she set his world aflame
It used to break his heart, oh, he won't lie,
Yeah every line tore him up inside
He recalls the night when all the plans
they'd made suddenly died,
But the world it keeps on turning
& he's found peace on a new journey
& he's grateful that he made it out alive

"Let's put a little more amazing back in the grace"-Chase Rice
This hit me hard this morning, because these days people are so quick to jump on every mistake a person might make.
Whatever happened to Love, hope, and forgiveness? It goes a long way, just gotta say.
He was raised up down home with a great mom and dad,
and some of the best friends he ever had,
That's a fact and to this day, down to his bones he treasures that
Looking back he wouldn't change a thing,
If he was asked, all he'd say,
is he wouldn't trade a moment that shaped
the man he is today

Earlier, I was watching a movie, and throughout the movie the woman kept berating her boyfriend.
Strangely, she expected him to just accept it, but eventually (to his credit) he gained some self respect.
She ended up with her stuff out on the curb, and the locks were changed.
A lot of people in our culture these days would say what a jerk he was, while completely overlooking her behavior that led to that point.
My preemptive response is that a person deserves respect, and is not obligated to stay in a situation where it's lacking.
Boundary setting is not a jerk behavior, it used to be common sense and should be again.
