Music could be heard through the door of the practice room, in sync with set of steps and random noises. I shook my head, ready to face the exhausted, but hard-working bunch of boys, while gripping on the bags full of home-made food as if I was afraid it would spill.
I pressed the doorknob, revealing the sweaty figures of the nine boys who were constantly practising for their new comeback. "Knock knock, kids, time for rest!" I called, raising the two bags with various food containers, the boys stopping in their tracks.
"Y/N!" they all cheered and Hyunjin rushed to stop the music, the rest of them crowding around me to engulf me into a hug.
Everyone was sprawled across the floor, patiently waiting for me to distribute the containers. Jisung crawled by my side and let his head plop on my shoulder, instantly closing his eyes in the process. "I missed you."
"The squirrel couple is back!" Seungmin giggled, earning a death glare from the two of us.
"Shut up, cherry. Here, Sung, have your food." I told him as I slid a container with his name into his hands, watching as his eyes lit up. He rubbed his stomach and eagerly opened the lid to get rid of his hunger. But when he was ready to dig his chopsticks in the food, he flashed me a look in disbelief.
"Really, Y/N? An acorn? On top of my food?"
Everyone burst into laughter at the boy, who was holding the small fruit between his fingers. I reached out my hands and poked his cheeks.
"Why can't you appreciate my sense of humor?" I whined, earning chuckles from around.
"It's lame."
"It's not! I loved it!" Chan chimed in, resting his hand on his stomach, calming himself after the good laughter.
"Then I should have included some bamboo stick in your food, too." he immediately stopped giggling and silently shoved some more food into his mouth.

The night has already come, crickets chirping in the dim light of the lamp posts on the street. "Make sure to rest well." I lectured, the boy next to me nodding shortly and grabbing my hand. My lips curved, leaning against his arm while walking to my car.
"You should rest, too." he cooed, and I hummed in response, feeling my cheeks warm up at the sudden care. My smile faded as soon as I reached my destination, rummaging throigh my pockets only to find there was no sign of my car keys.
I cursed under my breath, turning on my phone's torch to check the inside of my car. And there was it, my key, gracefully placed on the seat in front of my steering wheel. Sighing, I turned around and met Jisung's confused stare.
"I locked the keys in the car." I breathed out, averting my gaze to the dusty ground of the parking lot.
"Call your father, this isn't the first time it happened, right?" he scratched the back of his neck. "Unfortunately, I only know to compose and sing."
"He's coming back tomorrow from a trip," I told him and pressed my lips into a thin line, glancing back at the car. "Guess I'll just leave this here until dad arrives."
"I'll take you home!" Jisung suddenly squealed, taking my hand in his and intertwining our hands. I tried to let go, but his grip was tight.
"Sung, your curfew-"
"I need to be at the dorms by eleven. It's barely nine," he grinned, pulling me closer to his side. I joined his casual pace, feeling his thumb brushing against my hand.
His touch was warm, so warm that it managed to melt me in only a few seconds. For some kind of reason, I didn't want the night to end, I wanted to forever walk by his side while listening to the pebbles crash against the pavement under our feet. His eyes were glowing in the light of the night, and the more I stared at his face, the more I noticed the small features that made me fall even harder for him. His cheeks were puffing in and out with every breath he took, his exhale turning into vapors in the crisp air of the september evening.
"Take a photo, it lasts longer," he teased, turning to lock his gaze with mine. "I wish I had my phone with me, but Chan hyung took it in order to focus on our tasks. I really needed a photo of you."
I punched his arm, a giggle escaping through his lips. He lead me to the front of my porch, letting go of my hand, and stepped in front of me with a warm smile painted on his lips. "That was it, I guess."
I raised on my tiptoes, pecking his lips, only for him to wrap his arms around my waist and pull me into a longer kiss.
"I should lock my keys more from now on." I mumbled, chuckling lightly and burying my head in his chest.
"So you don't regret it?"
"No. Regrets. Why would I?" he burst into laughter, squeezing my body against his before finally letting me go. "Come on, it's late! Don't practise anymore for today, or else I'm telling Chan to let you clean the whole dorm."
"Y/N!"
