The PR spectacle before LWK&R
The extended weekend from 29th of September to 1st of October proved to be quite eventful. To store this all up, I’m going to make a little timeline of everything that occurred during these days.
Thursday, 28th of September
Lana and Steve C. post pictures from New York.
Friday, 29th of September
The FBBC website opens, revealing a bunch of unseen pictures that were already old (December 2015).
In the night between Friday and Saturday Steve shares a new photo with Jensen and D.
Steve also shares this photograph in his instagram story, which is gone now.
Saturday, 30th of September
D shares this photo from the previous night in the afternoon.
During the evening, Jared posts this picture on his Instagram account with the caption “Every time.” (separate post)
G follows shortly after with this picture and continues posting photos from the concert during the night. She’s in some fan pictures, including one that was taken at the graffiti wall.
A fan claims to have seen Jared at San Jac’s Saloon, but the timing is strange. This would place Jared apart from G just an hour+ after taking pictures with her.
Lana C. shares some pictures of Jensen and D, only to remove them the next day, saying she’s uncomfortable with the comments they received.
Sunday, 1st of October
Jensen shares a picture taken at JDM & Hilarie C.’s farm, thanking them for having the Ackles’ over.
JDM tweets and shares a picture of Jensen with his son.
Hilarie B. tweets about Jensen and D visiting them, uploading some photos to her Instagram account.
JJ from Kaleo posts this picture with Jared, captioning “Only one J missing in Austin, TX”
Jensen posts an Instagram pic from a golf club with D.
D posts a photo of her, Jensen and JJ on a carriage ride.
Monday, 2nd of October
Jensen tweets about the tragedy in Vegas.
Jensen finally appears on LWK&R. (separate post)
Plenty of fan pictures and videos are taken outside after the LWK&R apparance. Later a fan takes a picture with Jensen at a candy store.
Phew. I probably forgot something, but this should be most of what happened. It was certainly quite a show to follow, I’ll say that much.

Do not underestimate this, don’t sweep it under a rug and for the love of all that is sacred, do not mistake this for a mere coincidence.
To me, it couldn't be clearer that Jared is responding to J/D’s picture, standing there all alone while his man is away, fulfilling some bearding duties. Love will win, every time, and Jensen will come home to Jared like he always does. Message received, loud and clear.
Yes, Jared and G went to see Kaleo in Austin, but this wall photograph was the only one significant enough to make it to Jared’s instagram. I seem to recall a certain couple going to see the band last year and posting really proud and happy pictures from the event...

Ah well. I suppose it’s time to ignore “Jared’s” social media for a while, yet again. Yeah, Leo, I’m afraid your emojis just aren’t that interesting. On the other hand, I’m glad Jared doesn’t have to waste his time on Instagram. Surely there are more interesting things he has at hand.

Are we talking about this picture? Because I’m pretty sure it’s the phone cover from Jared and Jensen’s joint AKF campaign.
Jared posted this picture on July 29th before the golf tournament him and Jensen attended. The cover had changed! He had been using a blue one for quite a while before and it was last seen as recently as Comic Con. I made a little post about this at the time.

Well then, Jared. I can definitely spot a couple of things! Sam’s tattoo appears to be back, which is probably the whole point of this beautiful picture. Nice!
But what really attracts my attention is the phone cover. Hasn’t Jared been using a blue one lately (pic from Jib 2017)? So, what happened? Did it break or did he just casually change it into one that has him and his husband on the cover? Outside the campaigning period, too?
What interests me is how intentional this was from Jared’s part. Do I detect a bit of defiance from him? Because let’s face it - that campaign and the design are probably one of the coupliest I’ve seen in the history of... ever? Melding their faces together like that and melding their bodies in the campaign photos?
Whether it’s a different phone or Jared’s concious decision to show them off, I’m very happy to see this picture. The weekend has started on a very good note - a date night and now this. Vancouver life!

These captions appear rather innocent on the surface, right? The J’s sure like to keep us guessing with their social media captions; there are often double meanings there, or they’re completely blatant (#datenight bwahahah) or there’s nothing to find.
I think these are definitely both the double meaning kind, but especially Jensen’s. If he was referring only to his facial hair, why would he say “it’s been real”? Don’t you like your beard, Jensen? Why do you grow it if it’s not to your taste? Oh, right… It’s not really the literal beard you’re talking about, is it? This caption sounds like Jensen is happy to be back in Canada. I wonder why? ;)
Jared’s caption is pretty obvious too, but the double meaning is so well though out that you can’t catch him. ;) But yeah, bet you had a little somethin-somethin in the morning. And yeah, your beard(ing) was lightweight compared to your other half.
