‘An Oversimplification of Her Beauty’ (Co-Produced by Jay-Z, Score by Flying Lotus) [Trailer]
It was recently announced that Jay-Z will heavily be involved with Baz Luhrmann's upcoming film, 'The Great Gatsby'. If that news wasn't enough, it seems like the rap mogul had his fingers dipped in other film-flavoured pies. It's been revealed that Mr. Carter plays the role of a co-produce in this indie film alongside Wyatt Cenac and Dream Hampton titled 'An Oversimplification of Her Beauty', which is has just been released in selected cinemas this weekend. As well as Jay-Z involvement in the movie, it has also been made public that the film will feature original music from the beatsmith himself, Flying Lotus.
Directed by Terence Nance, the mixed animation/live-action film "documents the relationship between Terence and a lovely young woman as it teeters on the divide between platonic and romantic."
