Everyone say Thank You Ron Livingston for taking the biggest hit of 2003-2004 so SATC writers could endear the audience to Big again
Currently on s6 of sex and the city and how can people say that Carrie is the worst when Berger is RIGHT THERE???
berger was so weird and such a little insecure narcissist ew, carrie is a questionable lady but nobody deserves that loser
Ranking Carrie Bradsaw’s serious relationships from worst to best based on healthiness of the relationship. My definition of serious for her is relationships that she genuinely pursued and saw a possible future in and they appeared in more than one episode with the exception of Jeremy.
7. Jack Berger (derogatory)- I absolutely hated him from beginning to end. His insecurity, lack of maturity, and cowardice were such a turn off. I was BEGGING Carrie through the screen to break it off with him when he started getting pissed at her success or at things that were out of people’s control. And the pussy ass way he broke up with her is insane because how the fuck you gonna switch up like that and take off? I hope he fell off the Brooklyn Bridge with his ugly ass motorcycle
6. Aleksandr Petrovsky- he was too out of touch with her world and didn’t try hard enough to relate to it. He also stripped her from her element and expected her to just be okay with him being gone all the time, which means he didn’t learn his lesson from the first marriage. I hate that he belittled her events. Also, he fucking slapped her, and I’m glad she left before it got worse.
5. Bill Kelley- like most politicians, he appears as a great dude but he eventually showed his true colors. He had no reason to be such a cunt to Carrie when she admitted she didn’t want to do piss play. He got what he deserved when she wrote about him, and I hope he lost the election.
4. Ray the jazz musician- he seemed like a chill guy he just needed to listen to her and truly understand that she wanted a genuine conversation. I can tell they wouldn’t work out even if they solved that issue though since they didn’t share much in common
3. Mr. Big- I actually wish I could put him lower on this list since he brings the worst out in Carrie quite often, especially in s3. The only reason he’s this high is because the other four are worse for her. I’m glad he somewhat got it together in the end I guess.
2. Jeremy her high school sweetheart- he actually could’ve easily become her boyfriend again if he weren’t in an institution. Judging by what they both said about their former relationship, it seemed they could’ve made it work. He also seemed genuinely amazing and I wish we saw more of him.
1. Aidan FUCKING Shaw- he was the best boyfriend she’s ever had, and she’ll never get better than him. He treated her so well and always listened and reasoned with her. He committed to her and never left her wondering how he was feeling. Hell, he even gave her another chance after she cheated on him. He also got her to stop smoking! If anything, Carrie needs him but he definitely deserved WAY more than Carrie since she destroyed him. I’m glad he got a happy ending at least
I’ve decided that 2020 is like Berger from Sex and the City. Unnecessary, adds nothing to the storyline, and should be forgotten completely, as soon as possible.
2021 better be the year equivalent of Harry Goldenblatt.
Ron Livingston as Jack Berger in Sex and the city (16/17)
