The Cooling Off the Mark Job (S03E08) LEVERAGE: REDEMPTION (2021—)
he's a fantastic golfer. he had a taco addiction. while daydreaming about a guy walking into traffic, he walked into traffic. he's a compulsive liar. he smuggled drugs for a nun who turned out to not be a nun. when thinking about how to cool down the mark, he chose the alias mark. he likes contract killers with gimmicks. he hid stolen money in a car tire. he crashed his car into a telephone pole and fell asleep. i didn't say his name, but he popped into your head, didn't he
Having a lot of feelings rn about this tiny little thing in the Cooling Off The Mark job, 'cause we all know Parker is a legendary thief (and especially renowned for her inhuman speed) and could have easily stolen some of Eliot's food if that was truly her intention but we see her do it ever so slowly here on purpose 'cause she doesn't really want the food, she just want to poke™ Eliot and just,,,, 🥲

Leverage: Redemption S01E12 The Golf Job.
Okay, the fact she planned it from the start? First off, I adore seeing Parker show off her masterminding skills. She does know how to see several steps ahead and see what the mark, and the victim, and her team needs, but it's nice to see that openly for once. I also like that we didn't really see the outcome of the church con. Obviously the team got the money and got it to them, but it wasn't really about the church, it was about Hurley and the mark. (The literal fact that Hurley was going by the name Mark the entire time, you can taste the symbolism). And I like that we get to see what kind of leader/mentor Parker is. She knows when to guide, and when to let her team go ahead on their own, but it's not something we see often, (because Lev:Red is Sophie's story, and I get that) and I like that we can see glimpses of it in this episode. Anyways, 10/10 episode, very good.
