Jack Spence - Bamboo Sun
Another weird/utterly wonderful entry in the Freedom to Spend label’s uncommon¢ series, which has unearthed such unreal gems as Danielle Boutet's Piéces and Universal Liberation Orchestra's Communion. Bamboo Sun continues the winning streak, gathering together the bewitching Fourth World landscapes of the impossibly obscure Jack Spence, recorded in the mid-80s before the Santa Cruz, CA-based composer’s untimely death. This is gorgeous and strange stuff, a dream you never knew you wanted to have.
