I imagine Jack’s parents hating each other when they first met (more like her hating Ed) because nobody, not even natives of unknown lands, trust pirates. But then they start to trust each other and getting closer. She became best friends with Jack Sr and after Edward starts to get attracted to her, it was a hobby of Jack to tease him or say he has way more chance with her to piss him off. Edward, uncle Jack and her were definitely one of the coolest trios!

Dena(FINALLY THOUGHT OF A NAME) hated Teague at first. She hated every single pirate.
Then Jack Sr came in the picture with terrible, but funny nonetheless, jokes. He’s nice to her and is genuinely interested in friendship.
I imagine she was probably a captive(probably of Grandmama since I imagine they met as teenagers), so it was nice to have a friend
Teague was relatively indifferent to her, but Jack striking up a friendship was what made him reconsider.
She would defend his little brother, protect him, This made him warm up to her.
Slowly, he starts to go from warming up to her to wanting to be her friend to loving her.
Jack Sr both knows this and loves it. And teasing about it? That’s a given
Edward does eventually get his act together and become her friend.

Happy 78 Birthday to Paul McCartney.
Something about the way Teague talks about/at Jack in tpof, the way he is constantly angry with him (without a reason most of the time), he belittles him, he degrades him, he blames him for EVERYTHING is happening to Shipwreck Cove and his life(even for a murder he didn't even do) makes me so angry
Poor Jack. I like to imagine, though, that Uncle Jack was right there when things got bad.
The man wasn’t perfect, as he did allow his nephew to be abused, but I imagine he was someone his little nephew could confide in, safely
