IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA ⇢ 11x07 | MCPOYLE VS. PONDEROSA: THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY
something that makes me specially sad and angry whenever uncle jack appears in sunny is the fact that he's there at all. everyone in the gang knows what happened to charlie, they know who did it, they've known for years. charlie may not say it, whether it's because he's repressed it so much he doesn't believe it or because he simply doesn't want to admit it happened, whichever it is, the gang still knows. and frank who can afford any lawyer in philly still hires uncle jack for his legal stuff. when they go to bonnie's and charlie wants to leave because his uncle is there frank insists on staying cause he wants cake. he even took him to the super bowl. charlie is always uncomfortable around his uncle and yet frank either doesn't notice or doesn't care, and so charlie is forced into situations where he has to interact with uncle jack despite how much he obviously hates it. but no matter how uncomfortable he is, no one in the gang cares
Idea for an iasip s18 episode title: "The Gang Kills Uncle Jack With Hammers"
᭝ ᨳଓ ՟ ・ ❝uncle!jackie just wants his favorite innocent niece to relax :(

SYNOPSIS: Dad’s best friend Jack Abbot and reader comes over to stay for the weekend because they haven’t seen eachother for so long!!!
(AN/ this is my first little “fic” on here so if there’s anywhere I can improve lemme know!!!)
You’ve has always been a goody two-shoes. Great grades, you have your own bed time schedule you’ve set for yourself, hell you barely even masterbate, you were the epitome of golden child.
One day your dad tells you have to go find some where to stay for the day because he’s gonna start renovating and he doesn’t want you to get hurt. So he sends you to Jacks house, youve known Jack since you were young-..and he’s always been so sweet!!
You guys have been talking and catching up for hours. he asks you how you’ve been and walking to the fridge he decided to get a couple of beers out-.. obviously you say no "I'm not old enough, I don't wanna get trouble, Uncle Jackie :((" and he says with a smug smirk "it's okay, sweetie. M'not gonna tell anybody, just drink up"
One thing leads to another you’re getting drunk, you trying to deny anymore drinks, you’re an innocent girl, you didn’t even mean to drink this much!! But he just finds the sloppy pushing cute, he grabs you by your cheeks-..forcing your mouth open and pours it down your throat.
Soon after he's taking your clothes off and you’re whiney, this is wrong:(( he drags you down to the edge of the bed by your ankle and takes off your lacy pink panties you were wearing "were these for me, princess? Huh? Wasted a good pair of cute panties just for them to get messy-“ he’d tsk, it makes you feel so embarrassed “-so needy. Don't worry, uncle Jackie is gonna take care of you.."
Who knew he was such a perv!!!
🌞🥚Since it's being to peak, more out of context screenshots of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia!🥚🌞
I don’t usually propose murder, but i do think the IASIP gang should actively and purposely kill uncle jack.
Creelby is the key to Byler Endgame... just not in the way you're thinking (what I'm calling #BobGate)
Part ❤️👬: And Bob's Your (Gay) Uncle
This is a third shitpost, third theory, third code the dazzling @junostarzz helped me crack while they were decoding the Older Teens' rooftop conversation during the Epilogue:
My attention was drawn specifically to this portion:
We establish that Robin has a "kinda weird" uncle who lives in Philadelphia.
Which is funny, because he's not alone: Lucas and Erica's famous Uncle Jack also lives in Philly.
Philadelphia has been referenced several times over the course of ST. It's where we first meet Kali and her crew in S2, it's the residence of more than one uncle, and it shares a name with the Philadelphia Experiment aka Project Rainbow, shown in TFS.
A government experiment aiming to render things invisible and instead sends the U.S.S. Eldridge to Dimension X.
I think I may just be late to the party because it's so obvious, so correct me if this was already decoded long ago BUT --
Philadelphia's nickname is "The City of Brotherly Love"
How much more of a gay euphemism is that? What makes these uncles "weird" is that they're gay.
Who's heard of "gay uncle" theory?
The article I linked discusses how evolutionarily, the explanation for how the genes for homosexuality have perpetuated without homosexual men having their own offspring is that they may be passed down through a queer man's maternal line (meaning his straight female relatives, who share his genetics, would pass it on to their offspring) [and presumably a queer woman's through their male relatives' offspring?]
There's also kin selection hypothesis, which discusses how gay uncles become "super uncles" for their siblings' kids:
"Babysitting more"?
Who's ST's resident babysitter???
HMMMM.... Birds of a feather really do flock together.
Side note: Looking up "Uncle Steve", I came across this Rick and Morty character --
Keep that in mind.
There's also "rich gay uncle (and aunt)" theory that ties into it -- if you're gay and you're childless, you tend to have more financial resources (hence Robin's uncle's big house). And if your siblings have kids, you're more inclined to spoil them with your extra income, allowing those kids with *your* genes to thrive.
Like a "fairy godparent" (no pun/reclaimed slur intended).
Gay "super" uncles are totally a thing fyi (lol my own gay uncle would have something to say on the subject) -- not just in biological families though, in the queer community as well.
So, Robin's uncle, the Sinclair's Uncle Jack, Virginia Creel’s great-uncle who left her “a small fortune” — enough to buy Creel House (talk about a rich gay uncle whose female relative has a gay child), Steve's criminal defense attorney uncle have all been mentioned in ST (though I'm having trouble locating when/the conversations). Not to mention we meet Eddie's grizzled, but loving uncle, Wayne Munson, who raised him in Alan's stead.
There's one more uncle who was mentioned in "Escape from Camazotz":
Holly: "Did my brother ever tell you about Uncle Eric?" Max: "Uncle Eric?" Holly: "He's a metal detectorist. You know what that is?" Max: "He searches for metal."
To start: Who is Uncle Eric really?
What name also means "ruler"?
Not only have we proven Henry is definitely a proud explorer, but that he plays the roles of both Ariel and Prince Eric in TFS.
"Uncle Eric" is Henry Creel.
Now, who is his sibling? Karen or Ted?
Well, we already know Henry had a sister named Alice, who he killed along with his mother in 1959... or did he?
The "Karen Wheeler is really Alice Creel" theories have been floating around for a while now, and until recently, I'd never given them much credence. Though now I'm reconsidering it slightly if only for this reason*: Karen's established maiden name in TFS is Childress.
*Again, forgive me if I've been slow on the uptake and someone else already came to this conclusion!
There might be a world where Alice lived and was taken in by the state after the events at Creel House, given the name Karen Childress (like orphans are given the last name Esposito, which was given to abandoned children).
Karen, fyi, has an interesting meaning in Japanese -- "lotus or water lily"). If you read my post about people with "lotus" names in the ST universe, you know that the "Lotus Eaters" were made apathetic due to the narcotic-like effect of the flowers they ate. Meaning like the Susans of the world, Karen may also not be what she seems.
One more little proof before I move on:
So, for now, let's just say Henry is Holly, Nancy, and Mike's gay "Uncle Eric".
Max: "He searches for metal." Holly: "Yeah, with his metal detector. Looking for super old treasures and stuff that dead people have left in the ground."
What, or rather who, could be this treasure Henry was searching for?
What "dead person" famously left buried treasure underground for someone to find?
Not #lettergate confirmed at the same time.
Bob clearly has no memory of who he left this map for, but I have a feeling that deep down he knew someone had to find him, and that someone was meant to be Henry Creel.
Two people who knew that at some point in time, neither was alone, because they were together.
I'm not crying, you're crying.
Holly: "Anyway, his favorite place to search is Indiana Beach Amusement Park. I mean, he searched there for years, but all he ever found was a bunch of cheap trinkets." Holly: Then one day, he opens up the newspaper, and boom. Front page: Some random tourist found a tin can filled with gold and silver coins worth like millions of dollars."
Okay, random. At first I was like ??? because Indiana is landlocked. But then I found out in Indiana, lakes have beaches as well #loverslakegate.
There's an actual Indiana Beach amusement park, located on Lake Shafer and celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year!
Here are some of its many attractions:
The Hawkins Tigers would love this one!
And would the sea warrior fight the sea dragon?
Time loop maybe??? Frankenstein's Castle?
Speaking of taking people for a loop....
Lots of flight/bird rides, with a Frog(face) in there too...
So many fun rides, though I suspect Henry was trying to find these:
Henry trying to find the lost knight thief who stole his heart??? 😉 Will it take "going backwards" through memories to find him?
Like Holly says, poor Henry searched for years, and never found the treasure he was looking for.
I suspect the real "Indiana Beach Amusement Park" was Camazotz, aka Henry's mind prison, given it's where Bob would've been trapped after Henry killed him via the MF.
This could have been post-TFS, if Henry believed he killed Bob (like he thought he killed Patty). And the random tourist(s) who found him -- alive and well in Hawkins -- were the Byers in S2.
Alternatively, Holly could be referring to the time after S2, if Henry did come to remember and Bob was actually dead and trapped in Camazotz.
In Tomb of Ybwen (which takes place between S2 and S3), it's Will, Mr. Clarke, and the rest of the Core Four who find Bob's buried treasure:
At Boy Scout Camp, huh? Meaning Bob, Mr. Clarke, and Henry were all Boy Scouts at one point... Also do we think we're getting a Tomb of Ybwen episode in Tales from '85???
Who else could be the tourist?
Max: "Right, so let me guess. In this scenario, I'm Uncle Eric --" Holly: "And I'm the tourist."
If we're subbing in people in this analogy and Holly is meant to be Mike on this voyage through Camazotz, then Mike will end up being the "random tourist" who finds the treasure in the "deepest depths of the dungeon".
Is this conversation genuine foreshadowing for the moment Mike finds Bob the "Lost Knight", who will serve as Mike's guide through his memories, help him realize his feelings for Will, and free him from Vecna's dungeon?
That's one theory. But here's one more gay uncle I want to posit (and here's where we get to the shitpost portion of this post).
In Broadway's TFS there was a brief, "zone-out and you'll miss it" moment in the play where Walter Henderson mentions an affair between Principal Newby's wife and Ted Wheeler's dad, resulting in their running away together.
Meaning that Bob Newby's mom might be Ted Wheeler's stepmom, making the two men stepbrothers.
Meaning Bob could literally be Mike's uncle.
(Hence the name of this post -- and if true, it means the Duffers, Kate Tefry, and the other ST writers finagled these family ties for a pun. Although if Henry is also Mike's uncle, then Bob and Henry would be Mike's uncles twice over. That's gay uncle cubed.)
FYI, "Bob's your uncle" is a phrase that's synonymous with --
Lol, no wonder Mike was peeved at the prospect of Bob being Will's stepdad -- because it would make him and Will cousins (albeit by marriage).
Hold on, does that mean Bob's mom is Nana????
Stay tuned.
Disclaimer: I'm going to break my evidence for this theory into different posts under #BobGate (also #PuzzleGate), but if possible, let's keep this contained to Tumblr because I think there are folks who might care about being spoiled for what I think is going to be an amazing twist (if #conformitygate is in fact real. Again, more on that later...) **I haven't come across a theory like it, but in case someone else also had the thought -- lmk!
