first 3 are characters i'm designing for my Jackalope project and the 4th is a design for a character i'm playing in a pathfinder game.

been finding more energy to work on art recently, so hopefully i can get out some more art content!

thinking of the characterization of my oc, Jackie the jackalope, and i'm just realizing more and more all the ways her being a jackalope is just so perfect for her character. one thing is that Jackie is prone to paranoid psychosis and has an anxiety disorder, which finds a common thematic thread to her being a kind of hybrid between a jack rabbit and a deer, two animals that are notoriously skittish and jumpy. she is also nonbinary, and her being not really a rabbit and not really a deer, but something else entirely with surface level features of both parallels her relationship with her gender.

SOUND ON. I convinced my partner to help do antler install on his mask. We couldn’t decide whether the squeaking sounded like our birds chuckle laugh or a distressed dolphin 🤣
