Lets just say one day Derek was a curious boy back when he was in college and something happened then pop he had a son. Dont get me wrong his son was the best thing that has ever happened to him but back then he was so devastated since he was young but he grew up he realized that what was growing was his , his creation. With the mother of his son she didnt want Dwayne , Derek kept him. Even though it was hard he bumped into someone who cherished them both. Derek's boyfriend was so supportive and was loved by Dwyane so much he was already apart of the family. "Daddy!" the little boy yelled out as he ran to Derek's boyfriend, with a huge smile on his face he loved that scene so much. He loved how his little boy thought of his partner as a father as well.
