Idk thought I’d make a list of who’s being shipped with who, who isn’t shipped with anyone, and who will likely never be shipped with someone. And it’s good to keep as reference for myself. This list may be subject to change but for the most part the ships already established will be permanent.

Some ideas I’ve got for the not yet shipped people:

Either Ruggie gets thrown into a poly relationship with the scaraduo or he’s shipped with Silver.

I’m thinking Trey and Rook together could be cute. But also Trey and Idia would be silly. Trey and Vil likely won’t happen cause I just can’t see it for the AU. Oh but I could also ship Trey with Chenya and Rook with Neige! (God so many options!)

Idia with Rook feels like a nightmare tbh and Idia with Vil feels iffy (at least for this au).

Hmmm…maybe Silver and Trey? A total rarepair but I don’t know their cannon interactions enough to play with them. I feel like Silver and Idia is a popular ship since people picked up on the fact that Idia calls Silver attractive on numerous occasions.

I may just shove Silver and Vil in the not shipped category cause it feels off to ship them with someone in the AU (unless I chose to shove Silver and Ruggie together).

TWST RARE PAIR WEEK: Day 1 - Parents AU

There's a softness to Deuce that wasn't there all those years ago when they were still students. He still has his little -isms. Sincere, kind, airheaded Deuce. But now theres a slight roundness to his belly, and his voice is light when he tries his best to sing a lullaby, and theres a swaddled bundle of joy tucked in between his stronger arms.

They have a baby now.

It's unbelievable to Jack. They have a baby now. The phrase echoes in his head like a broken record. Deuce has a ring on his finger, just like his, and they have a baby now.

A little cub that tugs at his ears every time Jack leans in for a kiss. A tiny chick that clings to Deuce's apron when he cooks breakfast in the morning.

Theres small footsteps in their halls. Theres warmth in every room. And theres laughter. Always so much laughter.

Jack grew up to be so big. He's so scared of holding them - Hands too large and claws too sharp for anything gentle, but Deuce grins at him. Makes fun of him for being so silly.

It's night now and Deuce is in their bed with their child. He gets to see this every night for the next growing years of their child.

"La la lu, la la lu... oh, my little star sweeper..."

Deuce's voice shakes. Jack thinks he's so perfect.

"I'll sweep the stardust for you... Ah, look, it's daddy!"

The cub gurgles a little bit. "Daaaa-ah, ah."

Deuce nods enthusiastically. "Yes. Da da."

"Daaaaaaa!"

Jack kisses their little chick's cubby cheeks. Then he settles into their bed, drawing his loves into his arms. He kisses his husband's fingers, his flushed cheeks, his lips. He does because he can. Forever.

"Daa! Ah-ah! Ooooo!!"

Their cub smacks him with all of the force of a 5 month old baby.

Jack is so surprised he doesn't even register Deuce giggling at him.

"So strong. Just like you." Deuce whispered.

"Just like you." Jack echoes.

He waits until his family sleeps before he steals another kiss.

"Thank you." For loving me. For giving me this. "Thank you."

I love you both so much.

sports vargas camp fed me really well. i mean, look at how worried jack was for deuce when he realized deuce isnt back at the camp. he definitely spent enough time with deuce in track, even though he said track was a solitude sport. how else would he know about deuce being slow to the uptake?

(also their upperclassmen jamil and ruggie believing and trusting jack about deuce's disappearance... jack and deuce definitely have a reputation of being quite earnest underclassmen. hnngh my "everyone spoils deuce" agenda... its not that far off)
