Jackie was not from Auradon, but she wasn't from the Isle either. Beast had heard of John Silver, how he escaped and disappeared before he could be tried for his crimes, but he couldn't find him. No one could. So away from all of those turf wars and princesses was how Jackie grew up, she had the real pirate life with her dad. At least, for the first 15 years of her life. When a young Carlos De Vil's invention managed to briefly break through the barrier, it messed with their ships technology and like a magnet, directed them right to the Isle. So she was stuck now, for the first time in her life she couldn't go wherever she pleased, but luckily she found wannabe pirates. They didn't have the experience she did, but they had the spirit and it was enough for Jackie to want to hang around them. Not just because the blonde one was the friendliest person she's ever met, and maybe the cutest
