summary:
diverging from s01e13 ski trip, what would have happened if kelso had started an affair with his girlfriend's mom?
teaser:
“Say Michael, have you and my daughter been dating very long?”
“Oh yeah, it’s been almost 4 months now.” Kelso stated proudly, but then pouted, “But it feels like it’s been forever. Jackie won’t even let me reach second base with her and I’ve been really good about not doing it with anyone else because she wants us to lose our virginities together, but it’s really hard, Pam.”
“Oh, I can just imagine. Jackie is stubborn just like her father.” Pam seemed to have made a decision. She shrugged her shoulders, the coverup slipping down her arm artfully and exposing her barely-held-together-by-a-skimpy-bikini-top breasts. Michael’s eyes zeroed on them like a beacon and Pamela smiled, taking a step closer to the younger boy, “Say Michael- if you ever get bored… waiting for Jackie…” She placed a hand under his chin, raising it up so that their eyes met, “how about you come and find me?”
So guess who just found a bit of Jackie/Hyde fic that wasn't completely terrible? I've never posted this before, and the rest of the fic is a disaster, but I can look at this bit and see something nice.
Eric once asked what the deal was with him and Jackie, and honestly, Hyde didn’t know. He knew that he loved her, more than anyone else, and a small part thought that maybe she loved him just as much back, but he wasn’t sure if that necessarily meant anything anymore. They were two entirely different people, and besides, he was a terrible boyfriend. He was a terrible friend, a terrible husband, a terrible son.
“What do you want to do now?” Jackie asked.
“I guess hang out.” It was the only option he could think of.
Jackie nodded, brushing her dark hair out of her face. “That sounds good, but just to warn you, the television isn’t working.”
“Figures," Hyde said, snorting.
“Well, we don’t have to go back to the hotel room, we could just continue walking.”
“I like that idea.” Hyde replied, “Just keep walking until we can’t walk anymore.”
“We’ll settle down in a town far, far away.” Jackie said, her voice far away and wistful.
He bumped her shoulder. “We’ll find a small house to live in.”
“Get brand new identities.”
“You’ll become a teacher and I’ll work as a short order cook.”
And we’ll get into wacky adventures with the locals.”
Hyde sighed. “It’s a good plan.”
“I always thought so.” Jackie admitted. “Remember when we used to play this game all the time?”
“It was all we did until I found out about W.B.”
“Yeah, and then it was almost like the dream had really come true.”
“Except we were still in Point Place and nothing really changed.”
“Oh, plenty changed.” Jackie retorted, “I just don’t know if any of it was good.” She laughed. “Besides, teacher?”
“Well, you got mad the last time.”
“You said I’ll become a fighter pilot!” Jackie exclaimed.
“What?” Hyde asked, feigning confusion, “I think you’d make an excellent fighter pilot.”
Jackie giggled, but quickly stopped.
They ended up back in the hotel room, kicking off their shoes. He watched her, amazed that this was happening as she turned on the stereo, music filling the room.
“Dance with me, Steven.” She held out her hand.
Since he had agreed to let her make the rules tonight, he walked over to her, circling his arms around her. She rested her head on his shoulder as they danced to "Bridge over Troubled Water," letting the song say everything they couldn't say.
It was quiet and the air had a romantic feel to it. Jackie was laying on the couch with her boyfriend laying on top of her. He kissed her neck, tickling her with his coarse beard that she loved so much. She ran her fingers through his curly hair and stared into his blue eyes. Those eyes. Very seldom did she get to see his beautiful blues because he was always hiding them behind dark glasses. She loved staring into his eyes as he kissed her. The eyes are the window to the soul and whenever Jackie looked into Steven's eyes, she could feel their souls merging into one. This is passion; this is love.
oh man. i dunno. look at that kiss. its perfect. plus, jackie made hyde show some kind of emotion. and hyde made jackie seem normal. did i mention the kiss?
