Chase: I could kill you Jack: Yeah ? So could another person. So could a dog. So could a really dedicated duck. You’re not special.

S/O: you’re mine Jack: first of all, I’m on probation, technically, I belong to the state. Second of all—

Jack would be the first to admit to not being a fighter. He can protect himself, sure, he goes to great lengths to do so! But the greatest length he can take to protect himself, is to just not get involved physically. He has machines for that.
But he recognizes areas for improvement, especially in terms of keeping distance between his body and others. Jack likes medium-to-long range weapons, something he can swing around like a bat or more likely, a collapsible metal rod or the Monkey Staff, but is also known to keep a short knife on himself— if just for a warning. He’s long since worn what he believes to be both fashionable and practical, leather was always a staple in his attire and liberal use of soft, flexible body armor has been incorporated to his villainous wardrobe.
Jack has taken up kickboxing as to know at least one form of self defense and quite enjoys it as another way to stretch his legs and get out aggressive energy. Of course that’s no guarantee he can keep up in a real combat situation, he can get flighty or panicky when he feels he’s in real physical danger, and is just as likely to fight dirty than use his lessons. Yes, he bites. Pulls hair, tasers and spits too.
But as both a strength and weakness, Jack is incredibly resilient. He is not a crybaby or by any means someone quick to quit. Perhaps even the opposite, Jack isn’t unlikely to take things too far on impulse. In a physical fight, if Jack has the upper hand, he likes to use it. But if he’s outmatched, he uses his head— as long as it’s all there. But he can take a beating, and often treats his own wounds, due to a long-standing distrust of hospitals. His sense of pain is a little dull in his hands, which carry the scars of almost two decades of engineering and dealing with multiple fire-spouting monsters.
Against highly trained, magical warriors: Jack doesn’t stand a chance offensively. But he does his best to be as defensively prepared as possible.

Where does your anger lurk?
in your heart.
old grudges and stinging tears. the feeling of betrayed love aching, turning hollow like a decaying stump, rotting... a hole in your chest where love once resided.
