Law was drawn towards Jackie's sense of calm, and intelligence. Jackie was drawn to Law's deeper gentle nature as a doctor, and his nerdiness. They think it's really cute.

Law finds it adorable when Jackie gets flustered and mad when he teases them. Jackie pretends to put up with it but secretly they love seeing him smile.

Jackie has locs so guess who's helping them retwist after about a year of dating (answer: it's Law)

JackLaw is actually so funny because here's Law saying that he has no time/room for a lover, but consistently makes room for Jackie throughout their time knowing each other, and during the relationship. Giving them a place on his crew, letting them use a room on the Polar Tang as a makeshift greenhouse, buying them a proper armchair in his office after they start dating, etc. All for this silly little earthy herbalist with a shotgun.

I loveeeeee thinking of JackLaw retiring from the pirate thing and moving to an island with a little house on the outskirts of town where Law has his own practice set up, and Jackie has their herb garden, nursery, and apothecary. They love the little life that they built together.
