Wait im out of the loop what's this althorp busines?

Harry and Meghan allegedly visited and stayed at the Althorp estate earlier this month when they were in the UK.

Then there were rumors that Earl Spencer (Diana's brother) and his new wife (the 4th wife) visited the Sussexes in Montecito after getting married two months ago in Arizona.

Then Meghan posted her 'Summer Holiday' photo series to her social media, which included a photo to her social media of the kids and Harry carrying flowers, suggesting that they were going to Diana's gravesite.

Then today, an anon told Empress to look up the new Mrs. Spencer's Instagram because she was fighting for her life in the comments about the Sussexes going to Althorp.

I'm nosy so I went to look. Didn't know Mrs. Spencer's IG handle, so I went to Earl Spencer's IG to find her. Earl Spencer's last post was from last week, and is a photo of Althorp. Comments aren't pleasant.

Then I found Mrs. Spencer's IG when Earl Spencer tagged her and I'm nosy so I went to look. I found a photo she had posted of a cemetery containing Spencer graves, got the ick, and made the comment I did.

I have been corrected that they weren't at an Althorp cemetery, but a public cemetery at the local church. But my ick still stands - someone who has no problem sharing a personal place that hardly no one knew existed (even if it's because she loves learning about her husband, even if it's because she's an archaeologist and things like this are her life's work) because of who her husband is is someone who doesn't care about personal/private and public boundaries, which makes her someone who might post other personal/private areas of Althorp. Meaning there are now two people with potential to exploit Diana's final resting place instead of just one.

(Also want to make it clear: I don't care that she's an archaeologist and that cemeteries or gravestones are of professional interest to her. I get it. It's pretty common to like or enjoy that kind of stuff when that's the field you work in or that's a hobby. What's icky for me is that she's using her profession as an archaeologist to defend and justify publicly sharing work that Charles has done privately to maintain his family's history. You can be proud and thrilled to be part of your new husband's legacy without including yourself in the narrative and putting it on social media.)
