These are the moments that surprise me. Little glimpses that throw me deep into my mind. . In #mindwalk the philosophy of seeing the tree, not for its parts, but it’s contribution to its environment as a way of classification. That the tree is all we know, and a lot of things we don’t know. The refuge of birds, the shade from heat and to only us, humans, a scale. Poets would write of volume, physicist would calculate the proportion of space, but as an artist, as a human being, for that moment, I see the cellular glimpse of the world looking back at me. . . This is what I do. I make work and find those moments that cause me to to reflect to be better. And hopefully tap into the root of all of us that makes want to be better humans. To be a witness.
