Today is the 40th birthday of one of the voice actresses behind Caillou(Jaclyn Linetsky) if she was alive and as one of the biggest haters of Caillou on the Internet...
...I think it's very disrespectful to make fun of her death! She was a real life human being who died young. She might have voiced a bad bald bastard in a cartoon, but she might be a good kid in real life. She probably didn't get to choose Caillou much due to her age as well. She died in a horrific car crash and most likely never got to see all of the hate Caillou got online.
I do know the very original voice actress who is alive did a bizarre parody music video as an adult where she plays Caillou in a bald cap and makes him diss the haters and denies having cancer. But Jaclyn Linetsky died in 2003 at the very young age of 16, before YouTube and very young.
We shouldn't make fun of the original voice actress of Jay Jay the Jet Plane either as Mary Kay Bergman was a very talented woman who voiced every major female South Park character and then tragically took her own life. In fact, Butch Hartman made fun of her death in front of her best friend Tara Strong on a podcast.
Is Malcom McDowell a bad person because he played Alex Delarge, Caligula, and The Devil? No! He just likes playing villainous and antihero roles in movies. Does Leslie Odom Jr abuse young autistic white girls? No! That was him playing a fictional character in a very racist ableist movie.
Separate the actors from the characters.
