born January 30, 1967, in Hawkins Indiana • bisexual • 161cm (5'3) • played basketball for the Hawkins Tigers • wasn't really liked there, I mean, a woman playing basketball ? yeah no • but was a really good player nonetheless
Born January 30, 1967
She was the first born of the Callahan family, and she was her father's princess
Even though she had almost nothing feminine in her, he even taught her how to use a rifle when she was young, and built her sandbags, to practice her boxing
Her father was, to her, a real hero. He was her example, her model in life, and she wanted to be exactly like him
Her mother was also a model for her : she was this strong, independant woman that never stopped at anything, even when things felt like shit. Even when everything was falling off, she still was there.
But, when her dad died… It was like she died with him. But she couldn't. She had to do what her father couldn't anymore, and what her mother didn't seem care enough to. She had to take care of her siblings, and that's exactly what she did.
She resented her mother for feeling given up on. For feeling abandoned by her, but deep down, she really wanted her to come back. That never happened.
Her grades in school dropped, and she even began skipping school. And even when she was there, it was like she wasn't : She was exhausted, by everything
The only activities that kept her from going insane were basketball and boxing, which she kept on for her father
Let's start by saying that her siblings means the whole world to her. And that's exactly why she want to protect them so fucking much. And that's exactly what she's doing : Fighting monster for them, and doing everything to keep them safe in this crazy town.
In highschool, oh, Laura did not have a lot of friends. She pretty much was really alone, and she didn't feel like she needed friends this much. Plus, she hated most of the other teenagers that went to school with her. And there was one… Oh, this one, she hated him more than anyone. This one, was Steve Harrington. A rich, pretty and gifted boy. A golden boy that kept complaining about what she didn't have : His family. And her hate for him was so, so strong… That with time, and while learning to know him… Well, it became something more positive. Yes, she began to feel real love for him, even though it took her so, so long to even accept it.
There was another boy in her life, for a while. It wasn't long, but he did leave a mark on her, maybe forever. And that boy, that boy was the freak that everyone hated. Yes, that boy, was Eddie Munson. She quickly fell in love with him, even though it was brief, and they shared some time together.
As of Nancy, at first, she didn't really appreciate her. Yes, the rich kid that keeps putting herself in danger, because she wanted to be "something else" ? Oh, she hated that. She hated her for that : She should have been happy for what she had, no ? A somewhat happy family, and privileges that Laura wouldn't ever dreamed of. But, that was before learning to know her… And before she even knew it, Nancy became her best friend.
And that was the same with Robin, even though she appreciated her immediately. Let's say that she clocked something in her that felt… Lovely, and she grew close with her in no time. And quickly, Robin became her second best friend.
Jonathan, he was something else. She did empathize a lot with him, when his brother went missing. And after that, their bond grew deeper, and they became good friends, relating on having shitty parents and having to do everything by themselves.
• She really loves listening to metal (especially Metallica, Iron Maiden and AC/DC) • She knows how to play the guitar and really loves that • She keeps tying her hair in a ponytail, thinking it's more "practical" • Even after everything that has happened, she's still wearing the Hawkins Tigers' jacket, because she likes it so much • Sports is her best class, but she sucks at everything else • In fact, she didn't even want to continue school, but she just had to, to be an example for her siblings • Touch at her little brother and sister, and you're just fucking DEAD • And stop thinking she likes Steve Harrington : she DOESN'T (she does)
