seriously what i'd give for a whole series somewhat in the style of series eight of classic who except with david tennant and derek jacobi. the master keeps on launching silly plots, thinking he looks sooo fucking serious and he's REALLY going to get the doctor this time, only for things to go wrong and he panics and drops everything to save the doctor. also martha wards him off with nursery rhymes and he's just an irritation to her rather than traumatising her whole family
