RIP Jacques Herlin (1927-2014), who I remember as the nervous little Marquis de Vaucouleurs in Farewell, My Queen (2012). If you are a fan of international cinema, you might have seen him pop up in other roles both credited and uncredited in a lot of very different movies and TV series: The Whip and the Body, Juliet of the Spirits, The 10th Victim, The Stranger, "The Adventures of Pinocchio," Shaft in Africa, "Moses the Lawgiver," Some Like It Cool, "The Winds of War," National Lampoon's European Vacation, The Little Thief, Torrents of Spring; The Favour, the Watch and the Very Big Fish; Jefferson in Paris, The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, A Good Year, Of Gods and Men, Our Day Will Come, Paris-Manhattan and Astérix and Obélix: God Save Britannia, to name but a few.
