My name is Jade Gomes, born and raised in San Bernardino CA. I am 25 years old, born November 29th 1992. I am a Sagittarius, which says a lot in itself. I have worked in retail for 7 years and been in retail management for 5 years. My true passion is working in the entertainment industry. I have always wanted to be an actress growing up, then I really got into rap and “Grind Time” battles, which peeked my interests in free-styling.
Inspiration:
My inspiration would have to be Nicki Minaj. 2007 my sophomore year of high school my friends and I were hooked on her mix-tapes. I had an AIM back then of course I would post all of my favorite rappers lyrics in my AIM away messages . Gucci Mane was actually my favorite back then, still is. His music was a big influence, along with E-40. Music really influenced me in high school. Curren$y, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, A$AP Rocky, Big Sean, King Los, and Odd Future just to name a few, were my biggest inspirations. In high school a lot of those rappers were on the come up and only had mix-tapes, so their music really influenced me and made me the hip-hop head that I am today. Growing up my Mom really sheltered me, I wasn’t allowed to listen to “secular” music, so I grew up either listening to gospel or old school. Which I hated but now I feel like I explored a lot of classic music that also played a big part in my inspiration. I feel like I appreciated music and hip-hop more when I became older because everyone is more interested in things they can’t have/listen to in my case.
Motivation:
My motivation would have to be myself. Every year of my life I try to do better than the year before. I don’t love my current Job and I know that I have to create my own lane in order to do what I really LOVE, and that is entertainment. Most recently my peers and friends that I have known for years who are on my social media have motivated me even more to pursue this dream. Just from my funny snaps or videos of me rapping, so many people respond and have really helped me with my confidence. I have been more motivated lately because I realized that the people who truly know me are surprised that I am not as social on social media as you would think, they tell me all the time to post more pics and funny snaps so, I’m def tapping into taking social media and music by storm this year.
Mission:
To be a Hot LYRICAL female rapper. I want to use this platform to pursue acting and modeling and just be an all around entertainer because I know it is what I was put on this earth to do. The mission is to take a dream from child hood and FINALLY pursue it at 25 without caring about what other people say or think, for once I want to just win on my own terms.
Benefits:
SHMONEY! LOL but honestly freedom of working for myself and on my own. Of course I want to make money but most importantly I want to be happy. The benefit of pursuing my dream is pure happiness and the feeling of success is addicting, and I really want to become an addict for success.
What the future holds:
Hopefully a successful career in music and artistry. Definitely will not be working for anyone but myself in the near future. No matter what I do I will be successful in any anything that I do.
