dude i am going to come out and say that i have used that word before. was it wrong of me? of course. am i gonna use it again? who knows. was i using it as a homophobic slur/to attack someone? hell no. i have gay friends, gay relatives, and i myself do not claim any sexual orientation. hockey player curse, and that's not gonna ever stop. but hockey players attacking gay players is NOT okay and every move needs to be taken to stop that.

The word "faggot" has become a mainstream curse word and people ignore its connotations. This is pretty much what I've been saying the entire night.  It's still not something people should say, but it's different from encouraging violence.
