So, failed hockey person Brendan Leipsic just got outed as the absolute scumbag that he is. Apparently he was in a group chat with some other hockey dudes, where they (among other things) talked shit about teammates, shared misogynistic bullshit and fatshamed Tanner Pearson’s wife. 

Leipsic has since deleted both his Insta as well as his Twitter, unfortunately the Insta-account that shared these screenshots was also shut down. So I’m gonna copy them from Twitter and share them here. Just so that every time somebody looks for Brendan Leipsic on here, they know that he is a giant dickbag. You know, lest anyone forgets.

For anyone who knows my stepfather, Darcy, they know he’s an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He has loved them since he was a little kid.

Unfortunately, my stepfather was diagnosed with non-small cell carcinoma in March (lung cancer). His cancer is stage 3, almost stage 4. He has been given a 20 to 30% chance of survival. His number one wish is to go and watch a Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game and meet the players.

Recently, he finished an aggressive round of chemotherapy and radiation, which the tumour didn’t respond to. He is now going for a treatment called immunotherapy, and if this doesn’t work, there’s nothing else that can be done. My biggest wish this Christmas is to get my stepfather and his sons to a Leafs game.

What frustrates me about the Sens players being recorded is that their conversation was something so relatable and they’re going to get in so much shit for it. Who hasn’t complained about their job/boss on occasion? Humans are idiots and we chat shit a lot. It was really, really unacceptable for that video to get released. The players have the right to have feelings and voice those feelings to one another about the team whether they are positive or negative. Breaching their privacy like that was an awful act of selfishness.

I mean really, it’s more than likely they’re not the only team to have conversations like that arise between their players. Just because they’re talking shit does not make it okay that this video was released. They didn’t deserve it.
