Jakie had a choice today.
He could've saved his friend, unbeknownst to him, from losing an arm, possibly worse at this point.
He could've killed the villains and a party member they were about to abandon.
Or, he could've saved said party member's daughter. Completed the mission.
He chose the mission.
...
We were thinking tactically, Jake and I. My friend, Sye, he could handle himself we thought.
And the villains, what harm can they do once we're gone? We should escape and live to take him down later.
Well, that leaves option 3. If she dies on the way back, we need some parts of our villains- long story- and she'll do fine. If not, maybe we can help her be better.
But that ain't worth a friend.
We'll never forgive ourself if Sye dies.
And they will pay in kind.
And maybe I've lived too long, seen too much, lived a pitiless existence.
But I'm Jake Fuckin' Bullet.
I'm an agent of change, a force of fuckin' nature.
And I already made my choice.
I have a fic prompt. Explain who Duane Dibbley is in “Back to Reality.”
- Sebastian is our pretty little murder-muffin of a Voter-Colonel, and presumably the one who decided that an extended stint in an AR game would be a refreshing change from changing people.
- Billy, his alcoholic, yak-urine-smelling half-brother, is most likely along to keep him from ending up dead in the streets somewhere while Sebby is busy in the game.
- Jake probably knows Sebby from his up-and-coming days as a young, ambitious secret policeman. He could also be along as a condition of Billy’s participation, like a parole officer/personal handler. His presence can be explained somehow.
So, who the hell is Duane Dibbley?
The party is booked in as the Dibbley party. Is he a wealthy, eccentric Party backer who financed this as a favor to the Voter-Colonel? Is he Sebby’s personal bodyguard, a deadly assassin in dork’s clothing, able to dispatch an assailant using only a Thermos and a triple-thick condom, whose name is used in bookings to disguise Doyle’s involvement? Or, is he the mysterious and little-known Glorious Leader of the party, the guy who pulls all the strings and holds all the cards? Dude needs a back story!
Passing of Fire
Near Liam’s home magical creatures, abominations in Flame’s opinion have emerge. Flame walked toward the creatures this becoming more routine than normal. Perhaps his Magical Pressure is attracting the monsters to Liam’s home. No matter it saves him from finding to test Liam’s abilities. He became skilled enough to no longer be called an Innocent anymore. But this now will be the real test. At least that was what he was planning until a rain of tiny balls of fire like bullets rain down on top of the creatures. “Firework Burst!” said a voice as the balls of fire explodes killing the monsters as a man lands in front of them with long and spiky black hair, with a smug grin on his face as he twirl two pistols around his fingers. “Too easy!” he said as he put the guns in the hostlers that hung loosely on his waist. Flame’s eyes narrow with annoyance at the man as he turn around, “Yo! Boss long time no see!” he called, “What’s up!” he said. a-cluster-of-cute-ocs
