I'm singing louder than usual
Sometimes, it's easy to feel lost like no one seems to notice you. So rather than say something, we try and subliminally cry out hoping people will just figure it out and eventually talk to us. By doing so, we slowly fade into a depression.
It’s time to believe in yourself. Every single one of us are different and unique in our own ways. Figure out what makes you happy and do your very best to follow that passion.
I grew up playing sports and excelled in everything I did. I enjoyed it all for a long time until one day….I met music. My Dad taught me how to play guitar when I was 13 or 14 and I loved it. Slowly, my love for playing sports began to unravel like an old sweater. Eventually, after years of mastering my craft, which happened to be drums, and trying to play in multiple bands, I decided to pursue music. Luckily, I was able to enjoy both sports and music for a long time until I reached the collegiate level. That’s when I knew for sure what I wanted to do and finally decided to devote more time to music quitting sports entirely. Keep in mind, this meant moving home and working a normal job for a few years to do so. Luckily, I eventually met the guys in Mayday and we’ve been a band ever since.
What I want you to take from this is…good things don’t just happen. If you want something then you’re gonna have to really work for it and roughing is all apart of the game. I reiterate by saying, we’re all unique in our own ways. We all have different talents and passions. Start thinking about what makes you happy in life and make the most of it. No odd passion is too ridiculous. Apply your time wisely and I promise good things will eventually come. And remember...when something’s on your mind, don’t be afraid to talk about it either. There are people out there that will listen. I suggest speaking to your family members or closest friends. They’re all closer than you might think.
Live your dream and dream big even if big seems impossible. I promise it’s closer than you think….as long as you’re willing to put in the time.
Sing and be heard!
