Another romantic fumble happened on my island today

And then Jake got into a depressive funk

But I got Wesley Crusher and he just came out of left field and says this

And then they walked off together, maybe to go find Ezri or Deanna (they're the only two therapists I have on the island lol)

if weyoun 6 had lived we could have had a b plot of him with Jake and nog who are making him drink increasingly weirder things to see if he can digest it

it ends with him in the infirmary and Julian incredibly confused

they have no idea what of all the things finally did him in but Jake and Nog are suspiciously quiet the next time they are near Odo

I’m thinking about Jake and Nog. I’m thinking about friendships where you probably only become friends because of the proximity. I’m thinking of (platonic) soulmates. I’m thinking of friendships that blur the line between romance and friendship. I’m thinking of friendships that evolve and change over time. I’m thinking of leaving your best friend behind, or worse, being left behind by your best friend. But you can’t blame them for moving on. They were meant for better things. And that doesn’t mean that it’s over, it just means that it’s different.
